Smoove yo. I emailed the guy and he sent me an e-flyer. Next one is on Golf Day though, so I'll have to see about extending my Hall Pass with the missus for another hour or so. Heh.

Evening ladies and gents,
Long time guest, recent member. Gotta say I'm impressed with some of the stuff I see here so decided to join finally. Anyway, please, can someone enlighten me why it's so hard to get anything of military theme in Australia? I worked for Toys R Us many moons ago, and no one could tell me why we stocked such a limited line of these toys. Even then it was only the Lanard line of The Corps! figures and vehicles. I remember when I was a kid when the wall would be full of Joe toys and vehicles and you wouldn't know where to look first. I get lucky every so often at a second hand shop or oddball comic store, other than that it's ebay I rely on. Is this some "it has a bad influence on kids and encourages violence" crap or what? OK, rant finished, sorry.

Yeah, welcome aboard Damage. Good to see more Aussies popping up. I don't think it's a PC thing as such, there just isn't the interest that there was 3 decades ago

Welcome Brisbananianiter. Whenever I think about the lack of military-themed toys, I like to blame Bush. He was an idiot and a warmonger.
But then, whenever I have to do the dishes, I blame Bush, he was an idiot and a warmonger. And now look... I'm out of beer. Goddam You Bush!

True, TRU do stock Soldier Force/True Heroes, but the figures are pretty average. I'll save them for my son and keep the good ones for me.
I've resorted to some of their vehicles like the navy seal boat and AB115 (which aren't too bad really). They are custom works in progress that I'm sure will end up here at some stage. Never seen Power Team Elite there though? Only seen them in the US and UK.. I think you're right TJ and thomasseeber, different demand in a different generation. Or maybe it was Bush after all. Anyway, thanks for the welcome. Remember, speak softly, but carry a 9mm.
