[QUOTE=SVantley;4118895]All I can add that It's a GI Joe and not a 12" GI Joe ARAH. 2 different type of Joes
Could you please elaborate a little on what that means? As far as your picture, that is REALLY close, if not exactly it. I can't tell from that picture, as i can't zoom in any farther, but I found some better pictures of this figure and it seems to have a slightly different head mold from mine. Does anyone know if there were variants of this guy? If not, maybe mine's a kitbash. |

Hi Snakebait. I'm like you, collecting and kit-bashing 12 " Joes (harder to find in the UK but they come up every so often).
Basically the small 3 3/4" Joes' come under the banner ARAH (A Real Action Hero) and the named characters like Duke and Snake Eyes belong to that series. The 12" Joes of the 1990's, on the other hand, were generally unnamed military figures (like 'Desert Gunner' etc) , like the old Joes of the sixties. Unlike the 60's Joes though, there are loads of different variations of headsculpts, and some of the figures came in Caucasian, Hispanic and African American versions. The big 90's figures weren't huge collectors items it seems. Nice boxed sets go for some money, sometimes. Just to slightly complicate, there were several versions of the small Joes like Duke etc. that made it to 12 inch versions. As far as I can tell these lines never lasted long. I suppose nowadays you can keep your kiddies quiet with a small cheaper figure! I haven't yet found a thorough and comprehensive list of the 12" 90's Joes, people mostly seem to collect the small guys , or the older 60's figures. That does mean we get 'em cheap though! Let me know if that helps! |

if i remember correctly the figures sold with a few different heads. these were low price point figures and are fun to collect or play with. i dont think this is rare or worth money.

I got the Paris island theme mixed up. It was just a 90's accessory pack.

I had one of these with the same head and pattern on the shirt. The shirt was a dark brown and he came with desert camo pants. I cant seem to find one anywhere. If anyone has one I would love to get my hands on it
