man i hit the wrong vote lol. it was so bad and the toys sucked. DIC was a masterpiece compared to it. even the spytroops & VvV where better.

I liked the villain. But the show was horrible. Everything in the late 90s was extreme.
Now Sgt. Savage was a great show.

I don't remember much about G.I. Joe Extreme, but in later years I came to realize something: whenever you have a cartoon with "Extreme" or "Unlimited" in the title, it's bound to be crappy.

I saw a few episodes when it aired originally, didn't care much for it. Then about a year ago I saw the complete series, and I've got to say that I loved the it. To appreciate this show you need to see it in order, not just random episodes.
Your biggest hurdle will be the first episode followed by the theme song, after that it's smooth sailing.
On a side note, G.I.Joe: Extreme was made by Sunbow with Graz.

I like the show, as it was much darker, but if you are having problems, watch the following episodes:
1 - You are introduced to the characters
12 -18 - An excellent multiparter that is full of action, dark plot points, and is a strong point of the series
19 - An awesome Mayday only episode
23 - Very deep character development for both Wreckage and Freight
25-26 - Series finale to the series, and almost every loose end was tied up
Sure, some of the episodes are pretty terrible, but those ones are by far the best in the series, and a lot of them add on an ongoing plot that was never done in the original Joe series. On the other hand, the comic was fantastic until the 8th issue (which also happened to be the final issue, and while I wanted more, seeing where they were going with the art direction, I'm kind of glad it ended, as the guy who did the artwork in issue 8 sucked ass).
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

...The inherent seeming cheesiness of the show is pretty quickly eclipsed by a pretty dark and deep storyline! Plus, I liked most of the Joes so much, I intergrated them into RAH/VvsV-era figures by means of customs, and worked them into my comprehensive "Joe"-chronology that includes RAH, Action-Force, Extreme, and Spytroops/VvsV/DTC-Marvel & Devil's Due continuity! In my storyline, "Extreme" takes place in the seven or eight year period between the end of the Marvel run and the start of the Devil's Due one! Unfortunately, since 25th-style is fairly incompatible with everything that came before it aside from the more recent vehicles, I had to consider 25th a "reboot/alternate continuity" along the lines of the new "Star Trek"! And don't even ASK me where I'm fitting in ROC continuity... Sigh!
