Gilroy Confirms No Season 2 for Renegades

Gilroy Confirms No Season 2 for Renegades
Henry Gilroy was on the Forcecast, a Star Wars podcast, that aired January 13 and confirmed there will NOT be a Season 2.

When asked by one of the hosts when we're going to see Season 2, he replied, "You're probably not going to because I don't know if you've watched Renegades and you saw the new trailer for GI Joe 2, it's basically the same plots. It seems the next incarnation of GI Joe animated is going to be probably have something to do with the movie."

Yeah, that's what a lot of us have believed for a while: that Renegades got axed so Hasbro could rework a new series to take more cues from Retaliation (which is basically a "soft reboot" for the brand).

It really shouldn't be a surprise at this point, TF Prime is getting ready to start season 2 and nothing has been heard about any sort of new GI Joe season/series at all.

As long as they keep making a Joe cartoon, i'm happy.

But i would love it if they could make figures of the rest of the Renegades core characters before calling it completely done...

Right but the panning back to Duke in Sunbow style wasn't a big indicator? I mean after that what more should we have been expecting? Him getting clonked on the head and re-entering la la land??? I must have missed the part where they said hiatus. After seeing that clip of Duke I pretty much figured nail on the coffin. I liked a good chunk of what I saw too.
