I don't know much about real guns so please excuse the ignorance. What real life gun is this rifle based on? I'm asking so I can order something similar to equip my Freds with from Marauder! |

and i think you are right that Fred's is a Browning Springfield M1, and never put the irony together until you just pointed it out there...

Its direct ancestor is the AVS-36.
Both were designed by Sergei Simonov.
That being said, it looks like the single pack figs come with something from the Colt's AR/M-16/M-4 family, and Fred comes withan M1 Garand.
