Crimson Guard: Variant or bad paint job?

So, I found one case of Wave 6 today at Wal-mart in Denver, Colorado. That was after I traveled to 5 different stores.

Anyway, I picked up the Crimson Guard but was a little hessitant. You see his face mask (around the mouth) and his visor are painted black and red. There is a vertical line dividing his face where they did not paint it black.

I can't seem to get a good image to upload.

To me it looks like a bad paint job. But, then again, I don't really follow all the variants that much or know whether an error is worth more or less. I know that in the comic world that some errors make comics worht more. But not, if there was just a misprinted single issue.

So, would this be worth anything to anyone or should I just return it?

Meh, bad picture. I scanned it at work with the scanner. I'll have to wait until I get home to take pictures with the digital camera.

The clear division runs only along the face mask and up the visor. It's like they were painting his face black and just stopped.

Its a factory error. Half the face didnt get painted. Whats the big deal? Errors arent really worth more unless someone collects errors. And the error needs to make the figure stand out from others to be a variant. Like being painted in a whole different color. etc.
