Destro has always been one of my favorite characters. I think this figure is fantastic although the original will always be the best...

I bought this figure when I saw it at Target for trade bait; I really only wanted the CG and Snow Job, but it's really grown on me. I love all the little touches impress me the removable sword, cloth cape, holster flap) and really demonstrates what's lacking in the latest Wave 8. If you're going to redo a figure, this is how you do it.
For all the repaint bashing (and I know this isn't the same), just wanted to give some love to Hasbro for getting this one right.

I agree. I think IG Destro is cool, but V1 Destro with the comic pack vac-metal head is far superior.

This was one of my favorites as a kid, and the one from Wave 5 that I STILL can't find!

Wave 5 is da shit. This figure is da shit.

I mean... a working sword!!! As a kid I would scratch my head about vintage IG Destro's "impotence".

Now it's all solved

Seriously though. This is such a solid action figure. I think he is indeed better than V1... if only because V1 could use some upgrading in some areas.

We could probably say that Destro has been lucky in the 25th ann. line. Even the comic pack repaint has been praised by many.
