At least the comics handled them well... I really liked them.

I would say yes only because it would stop Hasbro from making.... What is it now 30 something Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Cobra Commander now. If their thinking of bringin Cobra La back then BF2000 can't be to far behind....

Let's get to the point of this discussion

There are two age groups of people that collected arah as a kid.
by the time 87-94 rolled around the first group had pretty much out grown joes. that being said
I think they should filter some characters from every year into each wave,
The real point is this, once you make all the iconic characters in their original form, why not do battle force 2000, tiger force, night force, slaughters marauders, cobra la, star brigaide, ninja force, eco warriors, def. I mean they are releasing more than an original years worth of figures at a time now anyway. We nearly have all of 1982-1986 made, so why not proceede onward to the NEXT ERA- 1987-1994. While i understand that 1987 is clearly the most controversial year in joe history, I know there are as many of us like myself, who love it, while many who wish it never existed

f**k yeah, now that would be sweet. the mega marines were a let down, but if they put out some colonial marines, I'd be all over that. as long as my boy hicks comes with his shotty for close encounters.

I think Zap, Short-Fuze, Grunt, Steeler, Clutch, Airborne, Cover Girl, Blowtorch, Thunder, Cutter, Ripcord, Recondo, Mutt, Airtight, Alpine, Frostbite, Heavy Metal, Keel Haul, Dusty, Footloose, Quickkick, Snow Serpent, EEL, Tollbooth, Lamprey, Dialtone, Mindbender, Iceberg, Lifeline, Leatherneck, Wetsuit, Deep Six, Monkeywrench, Mainframe, Sci-Fi, Lowlight, Crosscountry, AVAC, Lift Ticket, StratoViper, MotorViper, Thrasher, Zandar, Zarana, and even the Fridge and Sgt. Slaughter would have something to say to that.

And maybe Claymore too.

Not sure I would be into them.
I agree that's the the time when they jumped the shark.

How would you feel about completely original figures?

Would you prefer Battle Force 2000 (and on) or new concepts?
Maybe new soldiers that are more relevant to today's time?

personally I'd like them to keep it as realistic, or as close to the originals as possible. bright colors or football jerseys worn into combat always pissed me off. new characters wouls be cool if done right, it'd be nice to see them draw up some concepts and let fans vote on which they liked best.

I liked BF 2000 as a kid...but I was 9. I can honestly say that if these were remade for the 25th Anniversary line (which, let's be honest, they almost certainly won't be) I probably wouldn't buy them.

And why would Hasbro do something called "Battle Force 2000" in 2008? I don't think anybody has to worry about this happening.
