Toy Fair predictions "competition" thread

I thought it'd be fun to do a little competition for bragging rights at what we'll see @ Toy Fair.

just "new" stuff, things that have been rumored by Wal-Mart computer lists (Major Bludd, Tiger Force Flint) or mentioned in hasbro Q&As (BATs, Quick Kick...)

you can get specific or just toss out a name.

Here's Mine:

1. Eels ~ Torpedo redeco with new gear/head
2. Steeler ~ as a pack in with a tank
3. Tele-Viper ~ will be a redeco of the regular Viper with new vest/head/com gear
4. an 'Evolutions' Joe Commander pack with Colton/Flagg/Hawk v.2
5. Tiger Force Roadblock (figure if they're doing Flint...)
6. Vehicles on Cards: Silver Mirage/Night Landing/Trouble Bubble (possibly comic-packs)
7. Mutt and Junkyard
8. Comic Pack with Lady Jaye (new hatless head <--that's a bit of a cheat cuz it was from the Q&A that Scarlet and Jaye would both get new heads;)) and Fixed-arms Flint
9. boxed $10/15 vehicles: reworked VAMP/Stinger/Black or CG HISS tank/ASP
10. Bazooka single carded figure

I'd guarantee if they mentioned it in the Q&A we'll see it ~ I'd imagine we'll see 80-90% of the 08 line @ Toy fair. (except Exclusives; IIRC they don't show exclusives @ Toyfair) they'll probably save the last wave or 2 and Exclusives for the Joe Con or SDCC...

Actually, I would be surprised to see much we don't already know about at Toy Fair. I don't think they really have to convince retailers about the line at this point, so I would expect them to save quite a bit for SDCC (San Diego has become increasingly important in the eyes of manufacturers over the last few years) or the next Joe Convention. In fact, I'd only bet on seeing one character of which we haven't even seen a photo, and that's Major Bludd.

Unannounced characters I expect to see soon, though, include Tripwire, Scrap-Iron, Mutt & Junkyard, Barbecue, and Dusty.

when is the Joe Con this year? July?

you raise a good point:
i suspect that we'll see most of whats in the computers or been mentioned in the QandAs though + something for vehicles if they are going to be doing something besides the Target exclusives.

Well, TRU carries a broad variety of Joes, Elite force etc and I'm sure this line interests them greatly. they have taken risks with big exclusives with Star Wars ($100 AT-AT, $45 Gunship, etc..) That I would be willing to bet they get some cool stuff as well.

the way the Hasbro Q&As have been hinting, we will see some good stuff from Toy Fair and they are wanting to wait to reveal it there and not just blurt it out spoiling it for us.

They promised that their plans on vehicles and playsets will be addressed at Toyfair. I think the fans are desperate for 25th vehicles (just look at all the customs to see just how much) and I don't think re-packs are going to cut it. My predictions are:

Re-tooled/New versions of

Mobat w/Steeler
Vamp w/Clutch
Cobra Hiss Tank
Cobra Fang Copter
GI Joe Headquarters

Cobra Hiss has already been confirmed for Target, unless they make a Black one later on in the year.

The one for Target is the same old mold (hopefully) re-tooled to fit a 25th figure. I'm talking about a brand new version to better match the new Joes.
