Just picked this up at my comic shop yesterday (finally).
Anyways, noticed Serpentor's right arm doesn't really rotate on his shoulder. Is this normal? Is there a way to fix it? |

Hey, fellow B.C. resident!
My Serpentor doesn't have this problem. |

Hey! Good to see another BC resident on here.
Anyways, I tried moving it side to side slowly to see if it would give but no dice. I'm afraid I'll snap the arm off the shoulder if I force it too much. |

Try putting it under hot water for a bit and then move it slowly to loosen the joint. It might be just some paint overspray. I had something like this on one of my Serpentors but I don't know if it's the same problem you have, but the snake on his shoulder gets in the way of the arm movement. Try heating it up first though and see if it helps.

The snake isn't blocking movement. Basically his right arm is bendable at the elbow and can be tilted up and down but is otherwise locked in position.
I'll try applying some heat to old Serpy though. BTW, is there a Vancouver sightings thread? Last edited by generic trooper; 02-02-2009 at 04:21 PM.. |

Oh...I see...you are saying his elbow can move but it can't swivel...ok, I thought you meant th shoulder. Yes, just heat up the joint to loosen it a bit and then turn. There is probably some paint that was dried after the part was assembled. By heating it, you loosen the paint (or make it softer) so you can break the bond.
There is a Canada sightings forum, but no Vancouver one that I know of.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, my first ASA Serpentor, his right forearm was stuck, and stupid me, I moved it and it broke right off.

Hot water didn't work. It loosed up his whole arm but not at the shoulder. I'm thinking its going to be a big deal moving his arm (no little kids to break it in here).
Update: After messing with the arm on and off, it will not rotate in a very limited arc and still feels like it will snap off any second. Gotta love Serpentor. Last edited by generic trooper; 02-02-2009 at 07:33 PM.. |
