I know they had the APC a few years ago, so that might be still kicking about.

As well Funskool released a Fang and Sky Striker a couple of years ago so those molds are still out and about.

Also, didn't someone at Hasbro mention they would love to do the FLAGG, but price point was the biggest problem? So maybe that mold is still around.

Actually no, the Skystriker is back, but the molds may be damaged.

Mold, um, "awareness"?

Sorry for being a "new guy", but how does everyone know what molds Hasbro has? Is it just collected information from the answers they give out all around the web? I was just curious. The knowledge some of you possess about abstract stuff is amazing.

Don't let the internet make that sound mean, it's honestly a compliment. I wouldn't remember all that. Age and all.

Hey Paul - No offense taken, buddy.

As for "how do we know"...here goes:

A lot of the molds listed have been used in recent years. As such, it's safe to assume that they are still available.

As for the Skystriker, it was used by FunSkool India...who in turn ruined the mold, as it was used repeatedly without being serviced properly.

I hope this info helps ;)

Molds

Hasbro seems to keep all of their mold "news" shrouded in secrecy. Not that it's really a big deal that the general public knows about that, but they constantly cite molds and tooling as a problem for any thing they do that might cause problems or cash issues. It's always intriquing to know about that side of their business.

It's terrible to hear about the skystriker mold. Such a classic. Hopefully this funskool company will help to repair or replace the mold. I'm sure there has to be a contractual obligation when Hasbro loans their molds.

Funskool was told not to clean the molds with salt water (they did anyway, so several molds were destroyed, rumor has it that the skystriker was repaired though, but untill we hear from Hasbro it's anyone's guess).
