Judging by Classics Cyclonus they should have just made him with his proper alt mode

True

You know, come to think of it, movie Ripcord's costume looks NOTHING like classic Ripcord, I see no confusion other than the name, and really, kids and parents must be more intelligent than that.

I made a custom Cover Girl out of a Courtney Kreiger figure. She seemed not 25th articulated do not like O ring rubberband; so i took a Lady Jaye figure, Torso was modified, switched J arms for Krieger and upper legs the lower legs and feet used the lower legs of a Viper and the feet of a grey 5 pack Snake Eyes. The arms, upper legs, jacket, and head are only original Krieger figure.

They have done something similar with TFs, like saying there were tanks and tank like vehicles already in larger sizes, so Classics Galvatron had to be a deluxe.
The point I was getting at was having Alt, Movie, two different Classics and an Action Masters Optimus Prime out there... followed closely by three different versions of the Animated Prime. Or for that matter, a Bubblebee through the ages 3 pack which contains a Classics, Movie and Animated version of the character in neat little package. But we can't get two Joe Lines at the same time.

I think Hasbro's real confusion comes from anytime they release a repainted figure, call it someone new and have that group of parents out there that go "Don't you already have this guy, just in blue...?" Sorry that was a cheap shot at Repaints.

But anyway, I can support more Internet Exclusive sets.

I guess I'm one of the only ones here thats has no love for the 25th style...

If it was done with an 'O' ring, it would be a yes,
but since I know it will not be, I say no....

Personally I think they should take the current construction, give us back the back screw and add back in the o-ring as an additional joint at the waist.

Confusing the customer was just some head honcho's excuse and no one dared to call him out on it. They knew when the movie was coming out and could have released those characters this year some time, or early next year and they wouldnt have been on shelves by time the movie hit.
Option 2 is a rename: Call her Courtney Krieger instead, we all know who she is. Same with Ripcord, just call him sgt halo or something.
I have a feeling thats not the real problem though. Is cobra commander, Duke, Snake eyes, storm shadow, scarlett, breaker, and destro going to look exactly the same in the modern era toy line and the movie line? No. So why arent they worried about people being confused on those characters? Because thats not really the issue at hand. I think they are holding some cards in their hand to be played after the movie. What they dont realize is that after you give some one a break from an obsession or a habit its hard to go back or you lose interest and it just wont have the same impact after the movie.

Its also funny that they said they had more key characters to focus on when lift ticket and thunder are in the pipeline. How are they more important than the dreadnoks that people were asking for. I seem to remember the dreadnoks having a much larger role in the comics and cartoons than lift ticket and thunder. Not saying I dont want them, just...
Just because we collect toys doesnt mean we are kids.

definitely, Ripcord, Pathfinder, Spearhead, Scoop, Down Town, Free Fall & Heavy Duty in a GIJoe specialists pack.

Cover Girl, Steam Roller, Sgt. Slaughter, Heavy Metal, Keel Haul, Skid Mark & Windmill in a driver set.

Gyro Viper, Star Viper, Motor Viper, Nullifier, Interrogator, Heli Viper & Ice Viper in a Cobra Driver Pack.

Put more commanders with vehicles on release for cobra & for the GIJoe vehicles put more non drivers like Leatherneck with the vehicles.

For a Cobra Specialist Pack
Astro Viper, Flak Viper, Frag Viper, Range Viper, Night Viper, TARGAT, Undertow, Annihilator, Laser Viper, Rock Viper, Sludge Viper, Toxo Viper, Voltar & Crystal Ball would be enough for 2 Packs.

These would also go along way with collectors & kids alike spending money big time to own them all, cause what kid wouldnt want these extremely cool characters & if all were newly tooled, the customization options when playing would go through the roof.

I remember making up my own characters for atleast 3 other things to play when I wasnt putting them into battle as GIJOE vs COBRA.

I like that idea, but could do without the O-ring. Basically DVD pack Dusty articulation with a back screw. The back screw eliminates the necessity of pulling out a rubber mallet or contraption to bust open the torso for customization.
