Lubed-up Crimson Guardsmen

I opened up my CG 5 pack yesterday, and there was some weird sort of lubricant coating on most of the figures. Has anybody else found this? What kind of wild goings-on were these Elite Guardsmen up to inside of their box?

And please - no jokes about this being a variant to sell on eBay. I already opened it up and cleaned them off.

lol...remember that "too horrific to describe" initiation ceremony CG's must go through? Well, sounds like you experienced the residue.

What did it smell like, I used to work in a factory and hose lines would sometimes pop off the machines and spray quite a lot until they were turned off. Usually it would be hydraulic fluid or glycol coolant. I saw some pictures of toy factories in china and the machinery look rather old. Probably a line popped off sprayed some stuff and the workers just cleaned up the product as best as they could.
