MERD!!! My Rattler stickers started peeling!!!

I thought I'd avoided this fate by diligently wiping down the plane and its parts with alcohol before applying the stickers but NO!!! The yellow/black checkerboard stickers on the missiles have all but fallen off!

Any suggestions for a good adhesive to re-apply them so they won't come off any more?

I did the same thing, but I figured they would just peel off anyways. I can't think of a quick fix to make them stick without ruining the plane in the process.

Most people on this site are purchasing reproduced stickers from various websites such as Cobra Stickers, but I believe they are sold out.

For now my Rattler is hanging from the ceiling, but the stickers are peeling badly on curved surfaces. Every so often I am climbing up there and removing a missle to push the sticker back on the surface. My next step might be to tape or glue them down, but as I said I don't want to ruin the plastic. The stickers that are on flat surfaces have been holding up for the most part though.

on the missles u can use the gloss finish transparent scotch tape. like the kind used for gift wrap. just line it up and roll the missle and it will cover the decal and hold it on. if u do just one layer it is very hard to see it.

That sounds like a real good idea.

Is that the tape they like to call "magic tape" or "invisible tape" because I was thinking of suggesting that as well. I had used that stuff on some of my stickers because the finish on the tape looks similar to the flat matte finish the stickers are made from. In any case it makes the stickers look more cloudy like than they did before.

I never knew why they called that stuff "magic tape"? Is it because it doesn't stick to anything and comes off like magic? Why do they also call it "invisble tape"? It's not invisible. It's cloudy looking, or shall I say translucent. It's definately not invisible or transparent like regular tape is.

Sorry if that sounded like a bad Seinfeld comedy routine.

I was thinking that double-stick tape would work. One site sticks to the vehicle while the other side sticks to the back of the sticker.

I'd got with an over lap of tape as suggested. If you lap the ends so they're not in the same place on the missiles as the ends of the stickers, you should be able to get away with simply covering the stickers and not having any tape overhanging the top and bottom of the stickers to further secure them.
