On one, the word COBRA has a black border around the letters. On the variant, it does not have the black border around the word COBRA. I've never heard of anyone discussing this variant or see one listed on eBay as a variant; possibly because most people bought the Cobra Troopers for army builders and didn't keep them in package and just overlooked the variant? If anyone else out there has noticed this let me know. If not, could it be that I've uncovered an unknown variation??? I have one of each in my MOC collection, and was curious if anyone else had them. | I have a ton of these and didn't think it was anything big so I never said anything about it. Heeeyyyy maybe I can ebay it for big money ;) |

I just got through checking the replies to my thread and I'm glad to see that others know about this variant. I just never saw any listing in a price guide of the "non-bordered Cobra" variant of the wave 2 trooper, so I thought it wasn't a major variation since everyone seemed to be overlooking it. It is good to see that I've brought this to everyone's attention. Keep a watch for when and if this variant finds its way to eBay and see if there is any price difference... |
