Hiss Driver, AVAC have smooth. (Cobra)
Maybe its as simple as that. They just wanted to keep it the same on both sides.
I am sad to see tripwire like this though...
I started looking at my techno viper today and thought that they could use the Hiss driver torso for him as well. And maybe even the hiss driver head. |

Frt Max even? we'll never know now. | I really doubt they would have, especially without media support. Hasbro are many things, but stupid as a company they're not. Shifting focus to a movie line when the movie is coming out is strong for the brand. Kids will want what they see on the screen, not 20 year old rehashes.
When the Transformers movie came out, Hasbro's profits rose 62%, and they've been climbing since. It would be stupid of them to not switch to a movie line for the movie. And I really don't understand the bitching, the figures are still going to be 25th construction. |

he makes his issues known, yet never loses sight of the fact that we could, just as easily, NOT have any joes at all right now to be having those issues with.
i breathe a sigh of relief everytime someone finds "new figs in <name store here>'s computer. and everytime hasbro confirms figs and shows pics. it means one more wave of joes coming our way.
i agree with scoop to the fullest, but....i see it this way...
guys like gung ho and bazooka have taken the "uniform" and made it their own. other guys like flash, tripwire, beachhead...theyre all using equipment issued to them by the govt. (where i work, we all wear "dress/casual" pants, or even cargo pants, and polo shirts with the name of the clinic embroidered in. same basic styles, different colors....same with most joes.)
reused parts dont bother me as much as they do some. i just try to "not notice".
and hey! at least they didnt try to re-use any parts to make torpedo! and im really surprised that arctic snake eyes shares not a single part with snow job.
and scoop, i'll go a step further with duke....ditch the arms alright, but im a bit tired of that shirt too! |

I know of several who kids who are know of and appreciate the original joe stuff and are nuts for the current line cause it the old characters just made much better looking. I just dont want to see the current line which is great (dispite constant reuse of parts incorrectly) give way to the movie line. |

The movie Joes will sell when the movie is out, pushed by it. Why should the main line not be based off of the biggest media property, which will keep GI Joe in exposure and prolong the brand as a whole? |

When I was on the tac team with my old department, we were issued equipment but we all modified it and made it our own. Everyone was "uniform" in a sense, but we were all unique as well. Thinking about it now, I suppose our Chief and the Major allowed this because we were tactical and that maybe meant function over form.

What is so bad about that? sure the movie will keep joe in the exposure but with the 25th styled line already running strong i think it would be silly not to keep it running along side the movie line. It would prompt even more sales of both lines in my opinion. anyone else agree? |
