Simply because it is such a pain in the ass to find that. Yes you can, but it's also a lot easier to order from a online retailer that offers "collectors" versions (crips, nice MOC or MISB) for sale. He wasn't saying you weren't a "true" collector. So don't get your underoos in a bunch. |

Some of us like to open, some of like it MOC. Some of us collect vintage some of us just the 25th. Some collectors enjoy the hunt in retail, others buy online because they just can't spare the time. Last time, I had to have an elderly lady check my joes out....she kept sliding the cards over and over again against the desensitizing machine ( even though there is no security strips in them) I winced in agony as I watched her do it over and over, I couldnt get the words out of my mouth fast enough to tell her to stop. By the time it was all over, My Torpedo and Armor Cobra Commander had tears all over the back of the card. I ended up getting replacements a few months later. |

As for BBTS, you have to select "collector" when ordering, otherwise it is like ordering from TRU.com or HTS, but odds are with better results, not always the best, but far better than those two. |

Then everybody surrounding you would laugh, like an orbit of shame. I bet she's on here right now.

It matters little in how you acquire your pieces. I buy most in the store and occasionally online. I open some and keep some MOC. There are only two collector categories:The collector and the hard-core collector (mega collector). The last one is someone who has to have EVERYTHING produced in quantity. I know a guy who buys every single star wars piece that comes out, no matter if he already has it on a different card or box. I know another guy who has to have at least a case of EVERY figure that comes out, yes 12 of every figure! My point is we are all true collectors no matter if we open them, display them or hord them. |
