TRU has a few older cp's on the pegs. |

Even my little area here in Kansas we have way too many of all the older comic packs and no single figures.
I think Hasbro missed this oppurtunity to really sell some figures.
Had they made them Army Building like the Scarface and Fred or went with something you have not seen in singles like Tomax and Xamot I think they would not be sitting at all.
When you get down to it, $9.98 for two figures is a great deal compared to $6.84 each. I think Hasbro missed the mark on this one. | |

seriously.
it's such a simple concept, but they mucked it up. Wave 1 was mostly a disaster (did anyone REALLY WANT dayglo Duke, CC, Scarlet, SE, SS?) got things off to a bad start, W2 was a little better with the 'noks (who i've only seen in-store 1 or 2 times) W3 was solid, but WAY TOO DAMN SOON for ANOTHER SE/SS 2 pack (now, if they'd made that SS into Zartan...) and for as hot as they seemed a the time, the twins are even warming now.
they also seemed to keep shipping wave 3 through the big gap between 3 and 4... now we have wave 4 with only 2 NEW CHARACTERS(!!!) out of 6 figures.
Comic Packs are a great idea, i just think they really mucked up the character choices. THREE Storm-Shadows in FOUR waves!!!
i think the magic recipe would be: 4 packs per wave (more variaty on the shelf), Packing a well-known figure with a more obscure one (ala Destro/Breaker and Duke/Red Star), Desirable Accessories if there is no new tooling (ala Jet Pack Duke or the SS/Firefly comic pack) and AT LEAST 1 troop builder per wave. (and i'd go back to the vintage comics, i couldn't even get through the new ones...)
