Never heard of any of those guys before. I am getting that bad feeling again. Haven't felt this kind of bad feeling since I heard Steven Sommers was directing ROC.
uh oh......

Why couldn't we get a good action director from the 80s. You know these guys are not going to be charging big bucks because they haven't been used for so long but the experienced directors are what this project needs badly.
Like Predator/Hunt for Red October John McTiernan, Stephen Hopkins or Renny Harlin. These guys know how to put a real action movie together. Instead we are going to get some made for TV movie washouts. What would it take for Jim Cameron to ditch the Avatar project for G.I.Joe? If there ever was a time for the Messiah, I could not think of a better time than now.

I think with the right script McG (Charlies Angles Full Throttle, Terminator:salvation) would be a good GI Joe 2 director.
That is IF they can get a good script. LIke something 2 years latere were president Zartan has de-funded the american involvement in GI Joe. He permits CC and Destro to escape, while reactivating the nanomites in the Baroness that make her evail again. Meanwhile Hawk takes his team rogue (yep, no breaker or Heavy Duty) and they work to expose Zartan. |

Don't know any of these names, but which ever one wants to reboot, recast or go his own way would be a nice change of pace

I think a reboot set in the 80's would work PERFECT these days. Showing 80's tech, to make parents say "thats how it was back then.." and showing the joes slightly more advanced, Almost to current tech, would be VERY COOL. Add in a springfield city fight with classic Joes and Cobras...Hiss tanks...Rattlers and Skystrikers...I just dont care...THATS the movie I want...and if they make another ROC turd I will barf

i'm not familiar with any of those 3 either. Directing experience is great and all, but since they are changing directors, i'd like to see one who REALLY knows the history and feel of GIJOE RAH. I know the movie concept is International and not RAH, but still if the director was well versed in the history it could really add to the telling of the story. No offense to the former director, but I kinda of felt that the first movie was more of fitting to someone elses liking instead of a nod to the original concept.... I believe the director said: "Mission Impossible meets X-Men." It's possible there was more of a focus on those 2 styles of movies and not on the old Joe lore....
