Yeah, but Sgt. Slaughter was wrestling, not GI Joe, and the Fridge was football, not GI Joe.

I absolutely loved M.A.S.K. as a kid (and still do today), but I don't care for this figure idea at all. Like everybody else has said MASK is MASK, not GI Joe. It would be like Hasbro making a Darth Vader figure for the Joe line (which almost sounds cool....bah! What am I thinking)?! I really wish we'd get some more updates before they start making figures like this in the line. Now, if this is some sort of test to see if demand for MASK figures is still there, then maybe I might be up for this (but I doubt this figure is going to be Matt Trakker in any of his actual MASK uniforms).

As for this post, I think its a nice marketing move on Hasbro part. This is clearly for the 80's kids to own what most may never have owned before. I look forward to this M.A.S.K line!! |

Yeah but those were real people and not a seperate toy line. Sorry but I am just not a fan of this cross over biz. Why not just come out with a new m.a.s.k. line? Hasbro is doing the 25th treatment to transformers later on this year starting with optimus prime so why not just do it with other propertys? |

Awesome!
As a kid of the 80's I'm a fan of most of the boy's toylines of the era and had a bunch of M.A.S.K. as a kid. It was never as popular with me as Joe or TFs but it was still a neat line. I never thought it'd be brought back and certainly never expected it to be folded into Joe. Hasbro should Totally do his vehicle too. I'm all for neat stuff like this: Joe, TFs, Jem, and Inhumanoids all already inhabited a joint world of sorts and now Mask's been brought in too. If Hasbro could just connec Visionaries in a way that made sense the circle of cool 80s properties would pretty much be complete. While I think the toyline should always stay "mostly" focused on the classic characters I'm totally for some cool cameos like this here and there just to liven things up. They're fun surprises. I'd love to see Spike Witwicky and maybe one of the Inhumanoids scientists down the road too. It would be even better if they made the character that connected the different cartoons: Hector Ramirez. make fun if you will, but id like to see a few jem figures. we need more female figures and more variety. look at how many people make customs. i could use some mask figures and vehicles. and some jem figures for a dio story or two. heck, the misfits would be pretty cool with the noks.
I would buy them. That's some toy collecting my wife would be sure to agree with since she liked Jem. Quote:
An actual Robot Chicken toy line would be awesome! |

They may not have to. Look at wave 7 Snake-Eyes with the knives removed....kinda looks like Matt Trakker's chest (Course since it actually looks like the original toy, that means Hasbro won't use it at all (I'm gonna have to get over the parts choice for Bludd one of these days ) )
