Another set I am not interested in. |

I'm just curious, what is the last con set you picked up or have you ever picked one up for that matter? If you haven't, what is your deciding factor that breaks the deal? |

02 Crimson Strike Team set and Hiss Tank-You can't go wrong with Crimson Vipers, and actual crimson colored Twins!
03 Operation Anaconda set (I have 12 Swamp Vipers and 12 Black Dragon Troopers as well, both Fireflies, and the Parachute figure, and the HISS IIb) Awesome Storyline, excellent use of figures, very hip set!
04 As cool of an idea as it as, I am not really a fan of the Noks, so I skipped this set.
05 Mars Invades 2 Sets...You can't beat Destro and his troops! So awesome, I had to buy two sets.
06 Was a decent set, liked the Overlord and the Coil Troopers, wasn't really into the Major Bludd and his Troops, and definately didn't like the Cobra Mortal figure, so I didn't pick it up.
07 As hip of an idea as the female troopers, being lead by none other than Bill Cosby, was, I just wasn't digging it.
08 Will not pick up. Was never a fan of Gristle or any of the Headhunter/Headhunter Stormtrooper figures. The funky teal color is nice, but just doesn't look right on these figures. So, I am not picking them up based on the fact that I didn't like the figures in question when they first came out. |

I still have a very strong connection to the originals and have loved many of the Con sets (the Iron Grenadiers and Classic Joe set of last year were both incredible). My point was that this time around, they're producing a set of figures that I personally do not have a stake in. I was long out of Joe before these ever appeared and I have no idea who they are. IMO, without that "link" I don't have any reason to buy what does not look like one of the Club's most exciting sets.
However, I am now currently obsessed with the 25th line. I know I'm going to buy Wraith even though I have no idea who it is just because I want my collection complete. If Hasbro got around to making a few of these in the 25th style (outside the Joe Con) I would be far more interested.

The only thing that really bothers me about the HHST is the arms positioned lower on the torso than most of the other figures. Creates a strange look. Otherwise, I'm ok with them. Warts and all
Oh, and it's not teal. It's a steel blue-gray color (think urban camo type color.) The tealish color is just how the color looks on gristle because of the lighting in the photograph. It has been confirmed that the color is in no way teal or any variation of teal. Rest easy!
Oh and ditto on the '04 set. I think the word 'crestfallen' would describe my reaction on seeing the set. If they had included Motor-Viper helmets for the dreadheads, it would have gone a loooong way to making the set a winner. |

Still need a Hawk/Zartan set though... |
