why I believe a sharc is coming: cause I'd buy it, swap out my night spectre and that would mean Hasbro got me to buy 2 of essentially the same thing by teasing me with something close to what I originally wanted and then offering the real thing later. That's pretty much par for the course (I'm looking at you Serpentor, Zartan, box set SE...)

Yup, it is a 25A sculpt Deep Six. I am looking at the pics now. Not much more articulated then the V1 Deep Six, but it is a lot less stiff.

Sweet, I actually don't mind that he's less articulated. It would be hard to have him retain his original look and have all the articulation of a normal 25th figure.

I'm getting really sick of Hasbro releasing 'teasers' & lesser quality toys..only to later give us the real deal. They should release the vintage style ones 1st, THEN release a shadow version. BUT DON'T TRICK US!!!!! That's just low and shady. I guess shady business practices go with the shadow toys. For example, Hasbro first gave us the Target Exclusive Utapau Shadow Trooper for $15 or so. Now we can get it for $6-7. Same figure plus a coin, there's no way the Target version will be worth more. Is Hasbro giving collectors the middle finger? I think so.

Hasbro just continues to shamelessly milk us as much as possible. I don't remember this kind of behavior from any toy company in the 80's. Hmmmm, I wonder why?
Get ready for a Shadow W.H.A.L.E. Hovercraft BEFORE they release the green vintage style version. Oh...it will probably be around a month between the two, as usual... |

Didn't Hasbro release countless repaints under the Tiger Force Name etc...? The whole redeco thing was pretty common. Back then it wasn't 'hey they're milking it' it was 'hey cool, a Hiss tank with a MMS...'

I don't think he's objecting to repaints per se. I think what he's saying is that he doesn't like it when they release the 25th version repaint prior to the classic colors version. I can see how this would irritate collectors who want the classic colors but only buy the repaint because it's the only product available, then the one they really want arrives soon thereafter. If he knew there would be a classic colors version he'd wait, but with no guarantee, he has to buy the repaint for fear of missing out. In his mind, the Big-H knows this and does it intentionally to get collectors to buy more. Probably true. Personally, I was likely going to buy at least one of each anyway, so I really don't have an axe to grind.

I can see that. But that has been, what 2 vehicles? The HISS and the Night Spectre? AWE Striker was original colors. The upcoming Vamp, Ram, Trouble Bubble, and Serpentors Chariot are the originals (or very close to them)
And the Target Exclusives were only 10 bucks. I'd be more angry if they did in fact put out the Shadow Whale for say 80 dollars only to put out the regular version a month later (after denying that they are doing so) I think with Hasbro, you sort of have to just expect repaints these days. |

plus, IIRC there was NO PLAN for wide release vehicles when the Target exclusives were revealed (back at JoeCon 07) they were basically a "bonus"

Can't....it was in the club newsletter. They get pissy when people post stuff. Give it a week or so and I will guess we would have pics by then. I can say that Deep Six's elbows and knees will bend and there will be articulation at the wrist so he can hold accessories.
