No, it's not removable. Would have been nice to have the removeable helmet but the figure still looks awesome anyway.

It is a great figure. I was just wondering if we'd hit the point where the other shoe would drop and Hasbro would stop bending knee. None of the originall 3 3/4 Joes had removable helmets. And while I'm still looking forward to this wave, as well as thinking that Battle Armour Cobra Commander should not have had the removable helmet, I'm distresed at the idea of non-uniformity by Hasbro. Which is a very real problem to which any Star Wars collector can attest. Hasbro seems to hold back a little when it comes to uniformity as a means of ensuring future consumer participation.

The Barbeque looks nice, and I'll pick up a BAT for the nostalgia, but other than that, I don't see anything that really interests me. However, could someone explain why Snow Serpents are so popular?

No removable helmet on BBQ? Booooo!
All Joes who wear helmets/masks should have them removable, save Snake-Eyes. Particularly when the file card lists their "real" name. It would make sense to have Cobra figures who wear masks and whose real names are "unknown" or "classified" to have their masks non-removable, however. Releasing an unmasked Snake-Eyes or Firefly would be really unnecessary, IMO. |

Snow Serpents are the original cobra polar trooper. They were just like Eels, Vipers, or Blueshirts except they wore polar gear. Besides, any cobra polar army would not be complete without Snow Serpents. Besides, it is also a troop builder, collectors love troop builders...
