Thanks for the link. I really do hate to be the guy with nothing nice to say... but come on. When I first saw the SE costume I thought it was a joke. It looks like someone is ready to shoot a really cool toy commercial or a really (bad) cheesy movie. We're just one rubber nipple away from from watching our favorite childhood toy/ cartoon series be turned into the modern-age box-office dreck of Schumacher porportions. I already feel embarrassed.
everything looks great, but is that Wiimote in Stormshadow's holster? |

Might be a futuristic katana. Remember, this is set in 2019.

My works is blocking the site. I can just barely see the little thumbnails some of you have been kind enough to post, but I like them. I think it works much better than direct translations of the cartoon costumes.
I figure, if you slap on some bandoliers and black military webgear over those power suits, they'll be perfect.

all I see is hotness. I'll try to look past that but I just don't think I can.

Duke looks terrible. He looks like he belongs in a gay circus from Romania. Hawk looks cool but he looks like Flint more than General Hawk. Everyone else looks alright. I think they should have went with more traditional costumes to release first before showing us the ones designed by the costume designers for Dancing With The Stars.

a lot of it's pretty decent (i like "flint-hawk", quaid was a great choice) but Storm-Shadow = fail. looks like a refugee from the Matrix.
i'd like to see Duke and Ripcords non-powered suit looks, but the design of the armor is nice.

Now, I know that they couldnt just put SE in robin-hood tights and call it good... but in the full body pics it looks like SE just took a trip to the Gap and picked up some black khaki's. The top and bottom of the costume don't "merge" well to me.
Storm shadow rocks out a pair of white reeboks? Was the costume budget like $30 or what? I totally smell a "transformers" with this one. I just don't trust hollywood. I mean let's be realistic... when has a movie adaptation of a boy's 80's toy/cartoon line EVER worked? - He-Man: Sucked. Dolf Lundgren? Really? - Transformers: Sucked. If I ever see Mike Bay in person I'm punching him in the nuts, even if it's just for what he did with Jazz's dialogue. - GI Joe: We'll see, but very likely will smother under the weight of its own cheesy one-liners, sight gags, and plot holes. Someone buy SS some boots, please. Oh, and you just haaaaad to hire a Wayans brother didn't you? Not exactly known for their superb acting chops. All we need now is a Thundercats movie starring "the Rock" as Lion-O and the modern-day trifecta of Hollywood raping my childhood memories will be complete. ;p |

aside from the suit and goatee (which definitely could stand to go), i'm not sure what you would want for Duke, he looks pretty accurate to me.
