It's also funny to watch people complain just for the sake of complaining, just as it's funny to watch people beat a dead horse.
But, who am I to second guess negativity on a collector-based website. That's what the internet is for, right? To spew nothing but negativity at every turn....because deep down, we're all a bunch of emo kids with Mommy issues that can't seem to let go of our childhoods, so we'll be damned if anyone changes ANYTHING that pertains to our aforementioned childhoods. Bah. The hell with that. Thanks, but being bad ass behind a screen isn't my thang ;) See...but what if he switched brands? Would you think that he sucks because he switched from unfiltered luckys to paul malls? I mean, wouldn't it suck because he switched from American to Turkish tobacco? ;) That is all. Carry on. |

^ and that, my friends, is solid gold.
But alas, although you spoke only in general terms, Irid, somehow we'll both be viewed as hypocrites or "better than thous" for "personally attacking" those who disagree/for their difference of opinion... So...in taking your advice, I'm going to try to rally the troops together one more time...so that we can discuss this topic in a way that helps everyone share their thoughts rather than force them down each other's throats....so, with that said...here, everyone...point your negativity at the following comment: LET'S GO YAN-KEES! *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP* Now, is it out of "your" system? Good. Carry on.

You better get used to it. We Star Wars fans have been suffering the angry and the bitter since the Special Editions, and that was 11 years ago! If the Prequels taught me anything, it's that you can't please any of the people any of the time. No one can compete with the world designed inside some fan boyz' head. I don't think even Larry Hama could make them happy if he was given an unlimited budget, excellent actors, the best SFX money could buy and complete free reign to do whatever he wanted.
Just ask George Lucas.

Just ask George Lucas. Well, to be fair, I think Hama is probably a better writer of dialogue than Lucas. Personally, I'm a pretty big SW fan, just don't collect the toys (I would if I had an unlimited budget and space, probably), and I loved the special editions, and even liked more of the prequels than I disliked. But then I'm not a hardcore fanboy, because I'm not super-bitter, I suppose, and I realize George Lucas is allowed to do whatever he bloody well pleases with Star Wars, given that it is, in fact, his universe to play with.
