Look, even if the movie sucks, a successful line of toys can only be a positive for those of us who collect. It will mean more people getting interested in classic characters again, which means more money spent on action figures, which means a higher tooling budget, which means more Joe goodness. The movie might suck. It might be worse than Michael Baybots. But we'll still benefit from it, I promise.

And if one dares to hope, could we possibly even see an animated series that could match the storytelling in the Hamaverse? Something on par with (or at least close to) Justice League Unlimited? I'm sure a new cartoon will be developed after the movie is released; it's just a matter of whether or not Hasbro thinks it's necessary to have it dumbed down for the children so many television producers believe are stupid. And the new transformers cartoon (transformers animated) Looks really bad! they messed up the old GI.Joe movie! (Too much Sgt.slaughter ,Don Johnson ect.) I think having another bad GI.joe movie could really hurt the franchise |

Well, I never thought much of the original cartoon in the first place, but that's another discussion entirely. |

I can't get over the fact that Hawk's pants and Covergirl's shirt actually SAYS GIJoe in the camoflague.
Where did they get their clothes? Hot Topic? Last edited by THE ENEMY; 04-18-2008 at 05:04 PM.. |

Ok, did nobody see "requiem for a dream?" Marlon Wayans was NOT funny in that movie...check out his freaky heroin withdrawl scene. I'm sure he's more than capable of running around in a costume with a plastic gun and shooting at CGI bad guys...it's not exactly Shakespeare here....
Besides, he may surprise you...I met him once at a comic book store in LA (Meltdown) and he was buying a vintage Voltron toy...he's into the genre and may actually be a big fan. Wait a minute...Marlon and Shawn were both there, and that was about 5 years ago so I can't be exactly sure which one of them bought Voltron. No wait...it WAS Marlon cause I talked about "Batman Returns" with him and how he got cut as Robin. That's right...anyone remember when he was cast as freaking ROBIN??? Too bad we didn't have the internet back then to complain, huh.

If I am not mistaken and correct me if I am, Alternators died becasue they didn't sell to well so the movie would have nothing to do with it.

I think I would like the idea of this film a lot more if Heavy Duty was Roadblock and Ripcord was Stalker. They can play them exactly the same, I would just like to see a nod to the more classic characters. I don't think I will ever understand the ascendancy of Heavy Duty in G.I.Joe.

HAHAHAHAHA!
Just saw the Snake-eyes mouth! How far in does that mask go? He probably can't talk because he's constantly gagging! None of this makes any sense! This isn't going to be a bad G.I.Joe movie, it's going to be a bad movie, period. Like, Batman and Robin bad. Like Waterworld bad Like The Adventures of Pluto Nash bad. |
