The first round of Hasbro's 2008 G.I. Joe Q&A the Answers has just been received.
1. Will we see revised classic or corrected versions of already released
characters - Serpentor, Classic Flint and Zartan?
Yes, Yes, and Yes.
2. Wave 5 of the Comic packs was briefly listed for Preorder by a few
e-Tailers (the wave with Lt. Falcon/Nemesis Enforcer, Destro/Iron
Grenadier and Trip Wire/Cobra Commander) has this wave been canceled or
pushed back?
While we can neither confirm nor deny the actual figures, Wave 5 was
pushed back a bit to spread out the newness during the year.
3. Will there be a SDCC exclusive and will it be a new character or a
repaint of an existing character like last years Destro?
There are two SDCC Exclusives and both of them are brand new tooling which has not been used in the line.
Many people requested this question.
4. Is Sgt. Slaughter planned for 2008?
Right now, no.
5. Battle Packs: Can you list what Figures, DVD and M.A.S.S. Device Part go with each set to the Build-a-M.A.S.S. Device Battle Packs?
We plan to reveal this info at the conventions this summer. |

Yes, Yes, and Yes. | now, while i'm not shocked by Serpentor (I believe this was confirmed in the last Q n A) or Flint (like they were gonna correct him for the TF version and not put him out in the classic colours) i'm a bit surprised they're going to do an updated Zartan.
hopefully not in the tacky bellyshirt...
Nice to hear more comic packs are still coming (and ya know BBTS didn't pull those characters outa there butts, i'd expect it to be largely unchanged ~ unless they wised up and dropped Nemesis Enforcer :-p)

I agree with Artiepants, those names came from somewhere and are in Walmarts computer so I would say its a safe bet that we will get Falcon and Tripwire this year. I'm guessing classic Serpentor will be in the Arise Serpentor DVD battle pack. Sucks about Sgt. Slaughter.

And the bellyshirt is the "classic" design so I can't see them not doing the whole package accurately. | |
