i'd honestly say if you were expecting any you were being set up for disappointment ~ they weren't even planning on vehicles initially, and only jumped on that because of the incredible demand ~ the timeline for the rest of the series between what's planned and the movie is just too short, plus if they DO plan on playsets, the movie line is where they are going to get the most mileage.
I do hope we get a larger vehicle or 2 around Christmas as a store exclusive, otherwise i think everything's going to have to fit into the $15 1-medium or 2-smaller vehicle pricepoint. It's at least good to get official confirmation. Ohh and yea. I want bigger vehicles too.. if they do use a raven in the movie.. it would be awesome to have that released! |

my common-sense prediction is Conquest and Rattler as Toys R' Us exclusives for Christmas.
both molds have been used recently, TrU seems to be getting several exclusives (and has had both prior as exclusives 2x i believe), and I think they'd both be popular.

i'd all but guarantee at least 1 with the movie line, and i'm encouraged that they sound like they are going to make the movie and 25th line mesh nicely.

yay! hope they get better treatment then Steeler, but really they should be fairly simple "Snake-Eyes w/ new heads and webgear molds ~ really hope they go comic-style on the heads (glasses and 'stache FTW!)

I totally agree. Comic-style all the way. And they should give us a carded Grunt with an original head. I can't stand the TRU exclusive version.

if i actually can find a Grunt and a Grand Slam, i'm thinking about a 3-way headswap ~ Steeler to Grunt, Grunt to Grand Slam (since the helmet and visor should hide the ugly face:p) and Grand Slam to Steeler ~ i think Flash's head'll make a better Steeler (assuming they all fit).

Well good news on the Stinger and COBRA C.L.A.W. getting released down the line but I'm still not totally clear on the 'classic' line continuing after the movie line of product hits stores.
In the TNI FAQ Hasbro says the classic line will continue up to Spring 2009 while the COOL TOY REVIEW FAQ Hasbro states the classic figures will be released concurrently WITH the movie line?! I'm hoping even if the classic line just takes a break while the movie line gets its time in the sun, it's doesn't go away completely. There's still a lot of COBRA army builders from the 80's (and 90's) Hasbro has yet to update with the new articulation style that I want. |
