Noticed today that Asst. A figures are back at $7.89, while Asst. B are still $5.xx. I wonder how long Wal-Mart will take to follow suit. Seems like the good price times are over.

Local TOYS R US is charging a whopping $9.49 for single cards. The retailers have balls jerking us like that.

It was inevitable. The only reason they even lowered in the first place was not to do us any favors but because they weren't selling and there's no way they are gonna be stuck with all that after the holiday shopping season when people will buy it even less. So they hoped the $5 dollar price point would appeal to all the parents looking to scramble to buy their kids gifts in this supposed economic recession we are in.

Your location says NY. Assuming you are talking about the TRU in (or near) Time Square, that is considered the "flagship" store and could account for the higher price point. I believe the TRU in Anchoarge, Alaska also charges around 9.49 for the single figs.

Eh, I'm not too worried about it. I've gotten my fill of the current stuff, they'll be on clearance or BOGO sale again soon enough. This could be a problem for getting new stuff in, though.
