I like the new VAMP a lot, especially since it seats 4.
But I'll totally pass on the HISS. Ugly, ugly, ugly!!! |

I hope it isn't too much more than like $20. I can't see spendin MORE than that on this. I mean, $15 on the VAMP re-issue was cool but I think this'd be more of a STEP.

The H.I.S.S. acronym always stood for: High Speed Sentry.
At some point, it seems everyone kind of changed the HISS from a recon vehicle/fast strike tank into an all purpose combat vehicle. If anything, I think this new HISS fits the original IDEA of the vehicle better than anything since. It is fast enough to outrun anything that could shoot it out, but have enough firepower to disable or destroy any vehicle capable of keeping up with it. The general feel I get with the new crop of vehicles is that Hasbro is taking cues from Command and Conquer, in that the Joes (GDI) have very traditional weaponry, while Cobra (NOD) have fewer big assault weapons, but more advanced weapony. All said, I like the direction Hasbro is taking with the brand. Having everyone running around with "blasters" is just a little to Star Wars for me, and reminds me of the cartoon. Luckily, I had a few old ARAH accesory packs worth of weapons, and packs kicking around in my mom's attic for the past 24 years just waiting for my son to get me back into Joe. Plus, I ordered a bunch of stuff from Marauder so any RoC Cobras I bother to pick up will be outfitted the way I like. I myself, having fallen in love with the RoC Joes, but still loving my 25th Cobras, am very torn. I think I just need to see some RoC Cobras that don't look like cheap Sci-Fi channel rejects to sell me all the way. My son's RoC Firefly is the only Cobra I've really wanted. I like him better then my 25th. lol He was the king in ARAH, and they found a way to make him even better. So why the lame Vipers, I ask?

So the HISS is going to be a bravo vehicle then?
Meaning it will be at the 25 dollar price range, instead of a more ridiculous 40 dollar price range like the Night Raven was??? |

Joe always kinda had more traditional military weaponry, while Cobra always had more advanced, albeit a little gimicky weaponry. It makes sense too, since G.I. Joe is a military group, while Cobra is a self-operating organization funded by a power hungry, metal-headed megalomaniac. |

That VAMP is absolutely awesome, it's about time. Shouldn't it be called the "Hammer" because that's what it truly appears to be, a 21st century "Hammer".

The HISS still looks cheapish to me. Wonder why they ripped off the T4 HK's.
