Why on earth would someone pay that much for a figure that you can get in a couple of months and for alot less.
Even in a couple of months if you don't do the mail-away the figure will be available for a lot less then 100 bucks. What was the most Doc ever got to? $75?

Yeah... it's all about hype if people will pay those kinds of prices. I collect Pixar Cars as well and if a new Car will start showing up in 1-3 weeks, people will pay crazy prices to get that car early. Same thing happens over and over again with Hot Wheel treasure hunts too. It baffles my brain that a collector out there will pay $100 for a super treasure hunt today because it hasn't really been released in mass yet but within a year it will be worth $10. This desire to be the kid with the latest toy borders on being unhealthy.

It's their money for their collection. If getting the item early gives them $100 worth of joy and happyness. Then it's worth it to them.
Alot of people on this board shelled out ALOT for CS SE before he started showing up in stores. I seem to remember more than one $75 story... add in that CC here is a mail away that we eill NOT be seeing in stores and it's not that much a jump. That being said. I'm poor and would never pay $100 for a fig like this. My monthly toy budget is $20-$40. But then there's people here that claim to spend more than $1,000 a month on joes.... for them it's nothing.
