Guys, lets sit back and look at yesterdays announcements. Notice one common factor? June. Just about everything announced yesterday was stuff to be released between now and June (with a couple exceptions?). Looks like Toy Fair was only covering the first half of the year. So we still have Joe con (June) and SDCC (July) for big announcements for the rest of the year. Look at it this way, Apple (the computer company) has a lot products and a huge "fan base". There is stuffed being leaked all the time about their products. So when Macworld (or WDCC, their dev conference) comes around and stuff has been leaked, it makes those shows kind of lackluster when it comes to announcements. What am I getting at? This, Hasbro has had stuff leaked in the past couple months. Maybe stuff they weren't ready to show, but it got let out. So if it hadn't, we wouldn't have seen it yet and the Toy Fair announcements would have been full of much more stuff we hadn't seen. (So blame the internet.) Also, the line won't stop at the end of the year, Hasbro is going to need product on the shelves into 2009 until they can start shipping the movie related stuff. The movie stuff will probably start coming out in June of next year. So Hasbro still has plenty of time to get a lot more figures out and vehicles if they so choose to do. I still think it was a great show. And I'm quite happy with what Hasbro is doing. This is going to be a great year! Last edited by WildWeasel; 02-17-2008 at 01:04 PM.. |

BTW, I sincerely apologize for this in advance, but the HISStank Toy Fair pics section...*sigh*. What happened there? The inverted pics have been fixed, but now there are pics which are way too dark, way too small, and virtually unviewable. Again, I'm sorry to be so bluntly honest here, and I realize this site is offered as nothing more than a service for fans by fans, but these pics need help. reluctantly, i have to concurr. while, like countless otheres, i've been glued to this thread all day long yesterday and today for great info and i'd say a good balance of love/hate, the images have been disappointing. many are either too blurry, too dark, bad angles, etc. i would have been a bit more picky abotu which were uploaded. quality vs. qnty arguement.... please do not take this to mean i am not unappreciative. it's just that there are many other sites with much better quality pictures. i read the info here and elsewhere for pictures this time around.
thanks to everyone for making this the longest thread i've ever read thru as its happening from begining to end

Yeah, I assumed that they were bare hands... but this doesn't answer the question either. Wouldn't his hands, being the part of his body actually holding the red crystals be the most likely portion of his body to be red? Through in another paint error (forgot to make them red) and you've got white hands. Speculation, but I think it plausible. |

thanks to everyone for making this the longest thread i've ever read thru as its happening from begining to end So by letting somebody else take the great pictures I had a chance to chat with Neal and others at Hasbro to gather better information. Toy Fair coverage is not over yet, Wait For it.

Destro can you inquire about the whole HISS situation? Is it going to be the all black DTC one or a V1 like on the Hasbro press release. Would be nice to know. Thanks! All the hard work is appreciated.

I'm not crazy about the 12" figures, but I look at them pretty much as confirmation that Bazooka and Dusty are on their way.
As for the vehicle Breaker I hope he is painted in cartoon colors. I for one love the cartoon packs. I'm a fan of the cartoon and Hasbro invoked the great memories of the show. Never did I think I'd see the the Weather Dominator AND the Mass Device I also find the pairing of the Armadillo and the air chariot funny. When I got Serpentor as a kid, my mom got my brother the armadillo and Beachead. I still remember her haning me Sepentor and saying look, I got you the Cobra Prince you wanted...lol I'll def. get that pack. Other then that I think alot of great stuff was shown. We now know for sure that Hasbro realizes the how big this line got again and is expanding it way beyond the original intentions. All I can say is through out the year and at all the cons I think we will see some more great things. Last edited by xFlintx; 02-17-2008 at 01:49 PM.. |
