I hope this is true about Walmart. More space for GI Joe is a must now.

One of my Wal-Marts has become infinitely better after the Jan reset (They used to carry a grand total of 0 Joes, Didn't even have a place for them) Now they have 8 pegs for single figures and 6 for comic packs (I haven't seen comics there yet, but they're on order) Thus far I've seen the wave 3 revision cases (Almost all 8 pegs worth) then in a week those mostly sold out and all the pegs were now filled with wave 4. That was last week. I should probably get down there soon

I just hope they continue with the 25th anniversary stuff for a long time but I don't see it happening once the movie comes out. Just as Hasbro pretty much dropped the classic line of transformers when the movie came out as well so it will be with the 25th imo.

I figure the same will happen for the 25th figs. After all, why would Hasbro deliberately permenantly cut off such a huge cash cow? Yeah, we'll have to deal with a bunch of movie crap for a few months, but just wait, just like Transformers, the 25th Joe line will be back. |

I don't think the 25th is a huge cash cow for hasbro. Movie and cartoons is where you want to be in the toy industry, kids are your target hit them with every cartoon and commercial you can on Saturday morning. Movie then we'll get a Gi Joe Animated just like the transformers and they'll focus on that with sporadic 25th here and there course by that time it will be nearer to the 30th anniversary and the 25th for Transformers so who knows.
I just hope they get most of the main figures out of the way before that and there are a TON more I want to see on single cards.

Huh, here in Hickville they managed to get three sets of Wave 4 up on the pegs as well as several sets of Wave 1 and 3 comic packs.
Buuut, since I am the only one who buys them here in Hickville, and I already have those, none of the new stuff will ever be put up, as there is no more room. |
