I'm still going to buy this set... yeah, it has a lot of flaws but I appreciate what they were trying to do here. (But why the hell is Law the only one wearing desert boots while everyone else is wearing black combat boots!? THAT irks me.)
At $20 or even $25, its still worth it. Yeah, I'm nuts. P.S. That Law might be generic but its hella more sensible and appropriate for the MP than any of his previous figures/color schemes ever were. In his case, I'm glad a 25th Anniversary version 1 update was skipped over only to be released this way. |

So what's the deal? Repeater is black now? So stupid. Why do they continue to tamper/bastardize the original character designs and mythos?
Stick with the original blueprints Hasbro!!!! |

Again, an ROC version doesn't necessarily preclude a character from getting the "classic" 25A treatment somewhere down the line as well. Hasbro isn't going to completely forget about the ARAH classic designs. |

Why has Hasbro changed Dial-Tone and Repeater.
a) There are enough goddamn male WASPs in the Joeverse. b) They like pissing off anal-retentive interweb nerds. c) They want to appeal to a more diverse audience. The correct answer is D! They're toys goddamnit! There are people in the world who can't even afford food and we get eight pages of grown men complaining about Repeater's freakin' tan? No wonder society laughs at toys collectors! We deserve it! We're getting a 5-pack of the best looking desert troops to his toy-shelves since the Elder Bush sent our forces to the sandbox (for a very reasonable price I might add), who gives a crap what names are on their stands?! |

To Footloose: you must be really disappointed that the first Modern Era fig to bear your namesake looks like....this.
I think I'll hold out and see if Resolute versions of Footloose and Dial Tone come out; I'm just not feeling these at all. |

Don't know if it was mentioned yet, but "supposively", Chuck Dixon created the new Dial Tone, expecting her to be a new character with a new name. But hasbro wasn't up for the idea and wanted an original character name for the new character. So Dixon went back to his file names and looked for techs. I'm not crazy about it, but if they are gonna come out with this figure, they should have put it on a resolute card.
