Saw this on CNN, thought it might be worth posting. I was at Target on Sunday myself and I still saw the same high price on Joe figures as I have been for last few weeks, but maybe it's a running change or its only on very specific toys.
Target cuts toy prices by 50% for holiday - Oct. 7, 2009 "Discount retailer is cutting prices on top sellers like Barbie and GI Joe beginning in October, through the holiday season." Actually i guess here's a list of some of the toys they're discounting: http://weeklyad.target.com/target/de...rturl_weeklyad Pg. 16-17... if that's all that's pretty underwhelming...

Odds are they'll just price cut the crap and leave the good stuff at the regular high markup prices.

I don't see a lot of it getting price cut. Maybe the PITT...

Actually with how many waves of the older RoC stuff still taking up a ton of retail space, a price cut on standard figures might not be too far off.

You might see a $1 off of the single cards, $1-2 off the Alphas, $3 off the Bravos, $5 off the Night Raven and RHINO, and $10-$15 off the Pit going into Christmas. I don't think anything will get any lower than that though.

$8.29 a figure is unsustainable.
And I make a decent salary, too. |
