The problem is that none of these figures can be sold as they appear as part of the movie line. City Strike Snake Eyes was an easy bone to throw us as it can easily be explained in the movie universe that Snake Eyes simply donned a new mask. Hasbro can say that he is the same guy from the movie but with a different mask.
Scarlet? How can Hasbro say that Scarlet has a cartoony face for the movie version? It would not make sense unless they do a head swap and we get the body with that paint application but with the actress' head. The Viper and the Cobra Commander pose a problem as they definitely do not fit into the movie universe as they appear here. This is not a bash on the movie mind you, this is a simple matter of fact point. Hasbro says that they plan to roll with the universe that the movie has established. The Viper pictured here contradicts what the vipers have now been established as looking like. I doubt this figure would receive general single carded release. The same problem exists with Cobra Commander. How does Cobra Commander now fit in with the reimagined version? He doesn't. I would not expect to see this figure outside of a DVD Resolute release or something of that nature. |

Hasbro will give us whatever 'Resolute' THEY want to give us. everyone keeps telling me I'm crazy... but we've seen their version of Resolute Snake Eyes in the cancelled wave.... and I wouldn't be surprised if Resolute is the new name for anything NOT ROC.
