Good job I'm not so quick to judge people on such little information, otherwise I'd have a few choice names for you... That's it: I'm officially boycotting the Tank for at least a month until after the film has opened. I'm just about sick of these superior, sneering people who think that we're all shallow idiots for daring to have an open mind while only they see the 'truth' of how bad the film is. God I'm angry right now....

lol@timeless with no desert war. i guess desert duke and desert vipers are non existant. i love all the excuses. rushed screen plays and reshoots. obvious signs of a crap film. they could have made a dark knight/iron man. instead it will be nothing but forgettable cgi and explosions. wow. why didn't they just rerelease x3. i would cost less.

At least give the man credit for getting to know source material, he says that he remembered warheads that eat metal. That's a direct reference to DDP WWIII. Does itchange the fact the script was rushed, no.
But it's nice to see that he at least bothered to read something before he wrote it. Blame hasbro and the producers for the rush job. If Beattie hadn't done it, another hack would. |

Good to know the name of the dude I will need to send my hate mail to for ruining the franchise. G.I.Joe is not a fantasy. Maybe in the horrible 90's, but not in the great run of the 80's.

Yeah because Teleporters that operate using three raw catalytic elements from various places on the globe is reality, same as pre-fabricated fortresses that launch manned rocket planes and act as a conduit to send out a frequency that stimulates a human's urge to hate and fight

Beattie is one of the worst at adapting films without loosing the source material. If you think his Joe script is bad, just look at what he wants to do to Halo. He's left out virtually every character in it except Master Chief, and turned the Covenant into mute animal like creatures.
What really gets me is that he was one of FOUR writers on the first Pirates of the Carribean, but he parades himself as the sole wirter for all three! I initially wanted ROC to do well inspite of his changes, because it's a Joe movie. But it doesn't really feel like Joe. Now, I actually want it to fail so he can't rape other franchises too. |

However the peeps making this movie said that most of this stuff could be used in the military in the next 20 years...dosent sound too "phantasy" to me...Science fiction made the technology we have today...to call it a dungeons and dragins hobbit phantasy or a wet dream/pipe dream is a farce and a detrement to all of those bright minds that develop the things we use for the past 40-50-150yrs. The nuclear bomb was a "phantasy" and was purported to never work...try telling the people in Japan that it was a phantasy...then the world woke up...everything is not impossible ya know, improbable yes, not impossible. I put a little more stock into what GI JOE is about and the tech it shows off more so than the "phantasy" that star wars or star trek or Lord of The rings and Harry Potthead pawn off as phantasy....
