Did you HAVE TO USE that backdrop? You couldn't have used one of those cardboard extreme things?
also, YAY VENETIAN NIPPLE BLINDS!!! For real though, he was the only one I almost budged for when I had them in hand 2 months ago. I will probably buy the PDD version. |

What's up fellow collectors, today July 17th I finally received my very first 6in GIJOE classified action figure Destro. Surprisingly enough I am truly satisfied with how he looks and I may make the attempt to buy the other four,as I also preordered both Coco's and Pimp Destro. Next up with the new Cobra Commander which will be released in September

Congrats, welcome to the Tank too. Destro is for sure a great first fig, best of wave IMO.

The thing is, everyone of these figures sculpt-wise is a work of art. The downside to them is it almost looks like there were three different design teams working on the color palette.
Duke and Destro are nearly flawless (although I don’t get why Duke’s watch is bright orange). Snake Eyes could be perfect if they made his visor the same color as his buckles and left the red off his head. Roadblock bothered me the most in the original pictures, but he’s really actually pretty good. If they went with a gunmetal color instead of gold on his armor and if the paint on the head was more precise, he could arguably be right up there with Duke and Destro. Unfortunately, I have yet to see a single sample that wasn’t painted cross eyed. Scarlett probably is the most different sculpt wise, but she still fits in fine in that department. But she has so many colors, it’s distracting. If they would’ve made her pants the same color as her top so that it could appear as though it was one jumpsuit, that would help. Especially since the top has a zipper down the front. Then if, instead of gold, they would’ve just used that same yellow on all the gold parts. Removing two colors from pallet to make all the difference. All of these figures are solid, even the worst of them. I like them enough that I already purchased three of the five. Unfortunately, Scarlett and Roadblock don’t seem like $20 figures to me, so I’ll probably wait for now on those two.

I'm a Snake Eyes guy from the beginning but I had to put him in the 3rd slot, he is not the best figure in this wave. If I didn't have a blinding hatred for the character of Duke he and Snake Eyes could be interchangeable in my order.
1-Destro 2-Roadblock 3-Snake Eyes 4-Duke 5-Scarlett I'm ready for the next wave, bought two of the NECA figure stand 10 packs want to use them up.

for me the biggest issue i have with duke and scarlet is they just look too young! more like teenagers fresh out than seasoned veterans, snake eyes and destro are fantastic and roadblock is a mixed bag never been a fan of the full beard and its a bit busy but it has the general age right.
so far they are looking good and im interested to see the line continue if only to increase the chances of hasbro uk not skipping waves |

Duke reads as mid-30s to me, or a really ragged mid-20s. He looks older than the ARAH Duke for sure.

If you go by his file card Duke enlisted in 1967 you can assume he was 18, that would make him 34 in 1983.
