That's a great squad right there and happy to see others thought the same. My only regret was buying the beret for stalker which I later unlocked anyways.

I’ll just stick to battlefront because that has the actual lucasfilm sound effects used in the cartoon lol. When you’re sitting there with lasers bouncing all over it really does sound like one of those cartoon firefights.

I don't have high hopes for Blackout so I offer an alternative which I have yet seen anybody on here talk about.
I highly recommend Ghost Recon: Wildlands. You can play solo with three AI teammates or online co-op with a team of 4. ... One of my favorite aspects of the game was the ability to customize the look of your character and your teammates. I played most of the game solo and had a squad made up of Stalker, Duke, Snake eyes, and beachhead. I enjoy games like COD and Battlefield but honestly they get repetitive after a while. Wildlands has a great story and a lot of little things that make it entirely unique. ... I swear I don't work for Ubisoft just somebody who has always wanted a great GI joe game and this is honestly the closest thing to it in my opinion. Although I expect this one has been discussed before, XCOM 2 (PC) is the closest I've gotten to a good G.I. Joe game. The character creator is nice and as they level you can use nicknames. However, when the equipment is upgraded and becomes more futuristic the soldiers do look less like Joes. For that game I created 84 characters and I did mix in the bad guys for more variety. I'll attach a couple images I put together for my blog a few years ago. Not perfect matches as I only used the base assets and you can't select any color for items but they still look close and feel like the characters when playing. |

Hero shooters are all the rage right now, I wouldn't be surprised if that is what they try to go for. Essentially a game like Overwatch, Apex Legends, Valorent, and so on, shooters with different characters all with unique abilities. GI Joe as an overwatch FPS game seems kinda perfect really, they could add characters to it forever.
The developer of the game is not a huge budget developer though, most of their games are mid level budgets so I would kinda expect something smaller though, so something like a strategy game would be more up their alley than any type of big FPS. |

We actually don't know the developer for the game. We know the PUBLISHER, but not the actual house making the game. Here's some of the developers Game Mill has worked with recently that may be involved: High Voltage Software- Long time developer, they've made number of well received games over the years, assisted on several major titles and I suspect would give us a solid title given sufficient time and money. My hope is that these guys are involved. It might not result in a great game, but I'd trust them to make a legit COMPETENT game. Something I'm not sure I can say for some of the other developers Game Mill looks to. Bamtang- A smaller dev whose major releases have been the mediocre Nickelodeon Kart Racers and the equally mediocre Power Rangers Mega Battle. They've also done a TON of web based game apps. Given Kart Racers 2 is coming this year, I'm not sure they'll be utilized. Concrete Software- Primarily a mobile developer focused on sports titles, they've dabbled in console work with the recent Rapala Pro Series. It wasn't well received. There's also the possibility they'll dig up another developer for the game. Again, we need to measure our expectations on this title. Again, it will NOT be a AAA game.

I liked making my dudes into knockoff Joes in Xcom, I would love a similar game. Especially if we get to customize some generics. Plague Tale was also a really cool game, so at the very least the company's made one game I liked.
I would actually be a little surprised if actual Joe main characters are in the spotlight with an M-rating. I feel like Hasbro would be touchy about letting them get into certain M-rated scenarios, and I mostly mean dying. |

The game is $40 and coming soon, this is likely digital only style of release and would be more niche, they can be a bit more violent and such with a game that is meant more for a niche release that isn't going to get a huge AAA push. The game is due in 3 months and there has been nothing for it released, so this isn't gonna be a hugely marketed title so they could get away with making a more mature GI Joe game for the older fans.
Also type of game will dictate who they target, if its more of a RPG or strategy like game for example, they know kids don't play those games much and would be more inclined to release a higher rated game in such a case |
