I'm not really into dolls. It just seems like playing with Barbies. But if they are statues...I could go for that. Especially a good Flint statue.

either way I don't play I collect, usually stays on card or in box...for my someday children to play with. and if you look at all the military 12" figures out there right now, you would not think these are "barbies" or "dolls" maybe the females...but not the males. and I would go for ANY statue....ANY.... |

I think sideshow will do a great job with this line. The only issue I see with the 12" figs would be the crappy bodies their figures use. They have improved but they are still kind of awkward. They work great for their zombie line but thy are suppossed to be stiff.
The only problem i can say i have consistently had with sideshows statues and busts is quality control. I have had to return to many statues for replacement, some more than once. it sucks. I have 2 messed up stealth iron man statues with horrible paint issues. and they were covered in what appears to be KY Jelly. NO joke.

For me, the teaser works. I enjoyed it for what it was, and I'd be interested in picking up a few of these depending on whether they trigger the "gotta have it" impulse with me.
I've never really liked Hasbro's 12" ARAH line. I ended up selling off the one figure I bought, a VvV Firefly. I have a small collection of Star Wars 12" from the late 90s I'll probably hold onto, though they DO pale in comparison to the high end stuff Medicom is doing. I made some money selling off some BBI Cy Girls I bought a few years back. They looked too much like dolls, and out of place with my 12" real-military Joes. |

I have had to return to sideshow for replacement:
Cap america pf...Paint rubs Hulk Pf Unpainted hairline Emma frost statue: broken ankles and punctured print Emma frost again, they sent it back with unpainted unsanded putty on the ankles 2 iron man stealth statues---paint rub Cap america archive---Dent in cowl and shield Dr doom Legendary bust--Paint chips XMEn vs sentinel---no light up feature Magneto comiqette--broken neck Wolverine comiquette--Broken claws. unpainted shoulders I feel like i am missing something. I have well over $8k worth of their product. Once you get all of the QC issues handled they have the best looking stuff out there IMO. I just wish they could get their act together when it comes to packing and painting. its a real pain in the ass to have to keep returning things to them. And to be honest, out of all these broken ones, i have plenty that came in just fine. I would say i have gotten a 30% damage ratio.

I've only bought Sideshow's 12 inch Star Wars figures and if the Joe's turn out as good as those, I'll be getting those too.
