YT-er erivera94 has yet another early figure release- Arctic Storm Shadow. I have my suspicions regarding how he gets his figures early, but does anyone actually know? My guess is he has an Asian hook up (likely in Vietnam since Hasbro produces most of their products there now) likely from inside the factory. I have no doubt he pays a serious premium to get them, so no hate, but it is curious and I'm surprised Hasbro hasn't locked him, PrimevsPrime and TonTon down by now by determining who their leakers are.
Mattel let Chinese sellers put MOTUC figures up early for years. They were clearly factory/QA rejects, but you'd think that if it had been a priority, Mattel could have shut it down almost immediately.

https://damingtoys.easy.co/products/...nch-scale-0713 FYI, it seemed to go in and out of stock. Just today, it was in stock a little while before I posted this. |

MCUcollector on YouTube got his from what looks to be a Hong Kong webstore. I was tempted, but it would have been around $40 shipped and he's not a must have for me personally. If I can get one on Amazon I'll bite. But if I don't, no worries.

Finished up Duke! I think he came out really cool. Subtle, but enough of a step up that I feel good about it. Really just wanted to bring some of the detail out, get rid of the cheesy green plastic, etc.
Some of the finishing touches: textured mud on the boots and trench shovel, buckles painted silver, darkened the blue highlights on the armor, some general scratches/damage/etc. I had to run out earlier today so I swung by the art store for more supplies. Instead of darkening the blue sections, though, I bought neon blue so I can start adding my own highlights to some of the plainer items (like Scarlett's all-black crossbow, which has the blue lights in the box art) and make everything really pop under a blacklight. I also feel like the holes in Snake Eyes' guns will look less silly if it's more obvious they're energy weapons. I'm looking forward to painting up all these buttons and rivets and zippers and really making them my own.
