This isn't a big surprise, but I'd thought I'd pass on the correspondence. I contacted Haslab just out of curiosity - it was nice that they took the time to respond:
"Good Morning! Is there someone in charge of Haslab that we can request items to be produced? I'd love to see the GI Joe Gliders that came out in 1983 to be reissued like you guys did with the Missile Command HQ" And here is the response: "Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. We appreciate your interest. I am pleased to reply, but regret to advise there are no plans at this time to produce GI Joe products. Consumer satisfaction is very important to us. Please be assured I have forwarded your comments to my management team so that they are also aware of your views. I want to assure you that all of us at Hasbro are dedicated to maintaining quality products and service. We hope you and your family will continue to enjoy our products for many years to come. Thanks again for your interest." |

FYI that’s not what Haslab is for. Haslab is for massive crowdfunded products like Unicron and the Sailbarge. The gliders are small enough that they could be made just without any crowdfunding, just like how the Missile Command center was made. Your best bet is to ask regular old Hasbro not Haslab, or just wait until Toyfair.

"there are no plans at this time"
Maybe if Snake Eyes does well and the figures sell. |

Yeet, I agree the projects so far have been large like that. I was thinking that it can also be for products that Hasbro wasn't sure could sell.
Figured the Joe fans needed to start with something smaller to let them know we're still out there. I don't think they're ready to design a new U.S.S. Flagg yet. I could definitely see the gliders as a con exclusive, though. |

This...
...and this. Even if GasLab was going to do a GI Joe project, it would be something more like the USS Flagg or a Cobra Terrordrome. I wouldn't be surprised with we saw the gliders in the 6" line. |

I don't no if the majority of collectors or fans of the brand want the gliders over other vehicles. I think we did a poll on the wants of us tankers before on the haslab subject. The gliders might be the cheapest thing they could make. I wish Hasbro would pick up where the club left off with the FSS figures. So much more could be done with that.

I can definitely see where they might want to see whether the new scale is adopted before trying raise millions of dollars at $1500 a pop for a 13 foot toy of the U.S.S. Flagg.

A 13 foot USS Flagg? I'm assuming that you are referring to if they made a Flagg compatible with the 6 inch line? Yeah, that would be too much Flagg.
