Did they confirm this at SDCC? The Q&A said "potential" for a Res set but didn't say for certain.
EDIT: Never mind. I saw where Hasbro confirmed it in the other thread. Well this is great news to say the least. Just sucks we have to wait till 2010 but whos counting?

No, the Kamakura wave is Charbroil, Kamakura, Night Adder, Nano Viper, and Red Fang Ninja. It may also include the white labcoat "Doctor."
The other wave we've seen carded samples of was Jungle Strike Ripcord, Urban Strike Duke, Urban Strike Storm Shadow, and Desert Viper. Given the "strike" subtitles and slightly different coloring to the card inserts, I'm thinking these are their own wave. So if you add the Accelerator Suit Duke/Doctor Lewis wave, that's three waves already that we've got confirmed or at least glimpsed. GI JOE Single figures 65356944697 Single pack Charbroil 65356944698 Night Adder 65356944699 Red Fang Ninja 65356944700 Single Pack Kamakura 65356944701 Nano Viper 65356944824 Duke V4 65356944825 Single Pack Desert Viper 65356944826 Single pack Ripcord 65356944827 Storm Shadow The only one missing from this list is the White lab-coat Doctor figure. There's no way that Hasbro went throught he trouble of getting Eccleston's likeness and sculpting a "suit" torso and not making it a widespread release.
No chance. We'll see Destro-in-suit available widely sometime in 2010. |

According to this Walmart computer list from awhile ago it looks like all these figures that we have now seen thanks to the Tank, Taobao, and SDCC, so it looks like they will all be in the same wave:
GI JOE Single figures 65356944697 Single pack Charbroil 65356944698 Night Adder 65356944699 Red Fang Ninja 65356944700 Single Pack Kamakura 65356944701 Nano Viper 65356944824 Duke V4 65356944825 Single Pack Desert Viper 65356944826 Single pack Ripcord 65356944827 Storm Shadow The only one missing from this list is the White lab-coat Doctor figure. Uh...just because they show up on a list pulled from a computer together doesn't mean they're in the same wave. I'm sure Collections 1 and 2, Waves 1, 2, and 3 are all in the computers now too. That doesn't make them all the same wave, does it? If Desert Viper et al... were part of the Kamakura wave, they would have shown them as part of that wave during their presentation. They weren't. |

Beyond that, the wave sizes are usually about 6-8 figures. Not 10. All the evidence and past precedent points towards the Kamakura Wave and the Desert Viper wave as being separate. Last edited by Jmacq1; 07-24-2009 at 08:16 AM.. |

I'm sure they are, and I said as much in my earlier posts in this thread. But they wouldn't unveil "half a wave" at each. That isn't really how they do business at these cons.

these are all available (just not in stores...heheheheh)
every single one of them from desert viper, adder, charbroil, etc... they've gotta be the same wave. if they're all done and carded and waiting for release etc. I understand that because of the number of them one would think thatz too many for one wave... but there aren't any others available so having 1.5 waves available just doesn't make sense. unless there are some we haven't seen....
