At least you can order the Footlocker set as Shout can ship it international. Damn, everything is US focussed at Hasbro.

I ended up trading the locker set for all the Rhino sets because of my disappointment. And when I shipped it out I wrapped the entire locker in the larger bubble wrap and put in the bigger airbubbles to keep it from moving around during shipping.
I was also EXTREMELY disappointed in the lack of 5.1 surround sound. The Rhino set had this and I feel it BLOWS away the 2.0 track that the SHOUT! set comes with. Why they could not have put both the 2.0 and 5.1 sound on these discs is beyond me...seems like a no brainer. I compared the video between Rhino and SHOUT! using a Blu ray player with excellent DVD upgrade. Both had much of the dirt & imperfects on the film. However SHOUT! has the edge (slightly) on the color crispness. The digi-discs used in this set is also another poor decision on SHOUTS! past. Hard plastic inserts that is a pain in the @$$ to remove. I can see many DVDs breaking while some tries to remove a disc. So in the end I now own the entire Rhino set and I purchased the SHOUT! Season 1.1. Mainly for the extras plus on these sets SHOUT! used the thin plastic DVD holders. A much better choice for a DVD holder. Less space and easy to remove the discs. If 2.0 and 5.1 matter to you the Rhino is the set to get. Video/color quality is more important then SHOUT! wins. Extras go to SHOUT! as well I did pick up the SHOUT season 1.1 Honestly, the Shout! set is superior. Through and through. Rhino actually ripped sound effects from Star Wars and their 5.1 mix is a real mess. On top of all the animation errors prevalent in their work. In comparison, Shout! presents the episodes as they were originally aired. And the restoration is beautiful. Now you, know, and knowing is half the hassle. |

I'm actually quite impressed with the new footlocker box set. I did order both Transformers and G.I. Joe from Shout and it took them way longer than it was supposed to, at least for Transformers. Transformers was available before G.I. Joe was so, when I ordered it from Shout!'s website, I think it said the DVD's ship within like 48 hours or something. It took them over a week to actually ship it after I had ordered it, and that didn't include the 2 day shipping after that. Other than that, I haven't been one bit disappointed in either set. Being a fan of both shows since their inception, these were absolutely welcome over the bad video/audio quality on the Rhino sets. I'm very picky about things like audio and Rhino's releases were, to put it bluntly, nasty. All kinds of terrible added sound effects and dialogue overpowering the sound effects and music. At least with this new set you get the entire series for G.I. Joe, which Rhino was unable to put out. Anyway, top notch in my book for both sets!

Any one else noticed that there is no audio options and the audio sounds like its in mono
on the old Rhino sets you could choose original broadcast 2.0 stereo 5.1 surround |
