Best point Iv'e seen here, he's supposed to be "Gaijin" and background Is important. The bigger problem is Hollywood for the last few years have been pushing an SJW agenda and most of you have been silent. Well here we go, and the if they're going off of the original script for this "1970s Kung fu movie" Chinese and Arashikage is Japanese, ya it's already starting off stupid.
I’m guessing the Clintons had Epstein killed in jail and he didn’t kill himself? Last edited by nightrattler; 08-16-2019 at 10:09 AM.. |

Yes I do agree that his skin tone doesn't really truly make that big of a difference. But like so many have said here that we already have a wide range of diversity in all of the available characters. My thing is again, why change Snake Eyes' skin color? Does it hurt anything with SE being a white guy with blonde hair?

It's silly but he litterly becomes way less interesting if he's not a blond white guy, he represents every wimpy white kid in the 80s who got the snot beat out of thim on the playground, you didnt have to be that kid with Snake Eyes you could be the baddest ninja commando out there.
Here’s the deal: there are a million movies that depict white people being beat up and then overcoming the odds. It’s been beat to death really. Does it hurt anything to have a character whose physical traits have nothing to do with who he is be played by a different race than the source material? No. |

I doubt the number is hundreds of thousands. Only kids exposed to the comic would know and they were a smaller percentage of Joe fans overall. The cartoon never showed him out of costume that I can recall, and neither did the toys. His birthplace and file name were classified. He was created completely anonymous.

Pretty sure that every color and race was beat up in the playground, so that isn’t holding water.

WOW! That number surprises me. As a kid I barely knew anybody that read the comic. I was always trying to explain to every kid how it was way better than the cartoon.

I don't know it necessarily dooms a character. I actually think of Nick Fury as Sam Jackson more than the old comic book version anymore.

Yeah I'm wondering if I'm talking out of my ass my self 😁 I'm looking for the print run right now, it's hard to find, I do know stuff like carebears had a huge print run, comics were huge in the 80s, this was before Nintendo and VHS took over
