Mark Weber was also responsible for the SDCC Renegades Roadblock figure. I’m not sure if he was responsible for the entire box set but he did claim Roadblock as his swan song & i’m glad & greatful that he got to get us that figure. I would love to see Mark Weber back at Hasbro.

I got this front paged and for the record, he's okay with our "reminder" to Hasbro. Please sign and share.

Signed and shared. I’ve been lucky enough to have many conversations with Mark about the brand and can say he is a true fan. This is the guy we want fighting for the brand at Hasbro.

Signed and donated! Sorry I don’t subscribe to social media beyond toy collector sites and Flickr.
I recall during Mark’s brief initial stewardship of the brand he mentioned Thunder. If he gets the position I Hope he can sneak in a 50th styled ARAH Thunder as I feel we never really got a proper one in the modern era. That RoC Thunder was an insult and I always liked the vintage figure. And a CV Cobra Officer, Televiper, and Stinger Driver 3 pack would sell very well also as a troop build pack. I’d personally buy 10.

I'm usually pretty quiet on the boards (I enjoy seeing the great creations on the site!), but I'm in on this. I like Mark's product and hope to see him get a second chance!

Signed me, my brother, and my dad. Dad is sleeping, but I did ask my brother. Should I sign my mom? She really hats that us three spend money on "toys."

I posted this on my Facebook page earlier:
Well, it’s sure nice to be remembered. My phone and e-mail lit up tonight as word of the online petition spread. I appreciate the G.I. Joe community thinking of me, and a special thanks to anyone and everyone who has signed their name to support the idea of me returning to Hasbro and working on our favorite brand once again. When my position was eliminated at Hasbro in April 2017, it was explained to me that future G.I. Joe product was too far in the future to need an active brand manager attached to the brand. I understood their decision to eliminate the position, but felt they had forgotten the impressive work I had turned in galvanizing and expanding the Transformers’ Generations segment. I did outstanding work for Hasbro when given item count and a tooling budget to work with. It was disappointing that they didn’t consider me valuable enough to make room for on another brand. I am proud of the work I did on G.I. Joe too, even though the budget allocated to the brand was very small during my tenure. I made the most with what we had, and will always be fond of the small victories like Sightline, Shooter, Stiletto, Gung-Ho, the female Cobra Officer, Tombstone (almost), and the Renegades Roadblock. With G.I. Joe at low tide (my term) and most of the Transformers Marketing team turned over since my time on the brand, it always felt to me like my best efforts and significant successes were lost in the wash a bit. Still, I loved my time at Hasbro and took great care to leave well back in April 2017. I started at Toy State in May 2017 and worked there through January 2018, when I was one of the early layoffs in a gradual downsizing that saw them close their business entirely last July. Since then, I’ve been consulting privately with a couple small and brilliant toy companies, while taking night MBA classes from the University of Rhode Island. Most Brand Managers have their MBA to start their careers, but I came into Brand Management a little sideways so my educational background is atypical for my professional role, a fact that’s hindered me in my job hunt. I would love the opportunity to return to Hasbro, and have pursued several job openings there over the last couple years (including this one). I think they are keenly aware of my interest in a reunion but I am not sure they’re aware of the support I built from the collecting communities of both G.I. Joe and Transformers. I always believed the collectors’ value was underappreciated, and that there were creative ways to invigorate a dedicated fan/collector base while still appealing to kids as well. I don’t know if this online petition will change anything, but if nothing else it has made me feel the respect and support of a community I’ve been a part of since 1982. Thank you all so very much. |

Cross Country, I loved Thunder - one of my all-time favorite figures. I'm sad I never got to make a proper Tele-Viper either.
