01. Simply pay Epic Games whatever they want and skin GIJoe into Fortnite. I'll say it till I'm blue in the face. Do only the 50 v 50 mode - get 50 different Joe Characters, and 50 different Cobra Characters. Drop the Joes onto Cobra Island - and have Cobra defend.
02. Make GiJoe and Cobra figures to match what kids play with in the game. 03. Print money.

“Kids don’t want action figures/toys” is just empirically untrue. As a contractor, I’ve been in many homes with “toy age” kids and they have tons of toys. The real issue is that kids don’t want toys from franchises they don’t care or know about. Just ask Jazwares how it feels to sell out of stores in a day when you release items from an actual cared about property. Kids don’t care about GI Joe because, outside of comics, there’s no media support for it. You guys who mentioned it are absolutely right: there should be some kind of multiplayer GI Joe game. Not a crappy mobile game, either.

G.I. Joe need is a live action TV web series set in the 80s so the Joe and Cobra will have the classic ARAH designs. G.I. Joe is not just for adult collectors. I has to be for everyone no matter what. If you have children please teach them about G.I. Joe. They should have G.I. Joe video game son apps. TRU or no TRU G.I. Joe must go on. Demand a live action G.I. Joe web series https://www.change.org/
If any or you didn't the the designs from two live action G.I. Joe films. I would suggest to demand a live action TV web series set in the 80s. It doesn't matter Disney got a hold of Star Wars and other toy line. That's no excuse for that.

Funny thing is just today I was coming to a very real and sobering conclusion.
My days as a collector may be coming to a close. Look I get costs rise. And steadily costs have been rising and still I have kept buying product. But as it stands right now here's my thoughts on the big 3 toylines I have collected for years. Star Wars I can't and won't start ANY toyline in a new scale. I get that people like the 6" series but I'm sorry for years my collections have been in one scale. And frankly the scale of 3.75 Star Wars has leaped backwards to 5 points of articulation. I'm not doing that again either. Especially not at the prices they are. And yes I'm aware that we do have a 3.75 black series...but frankly that is so misjointed and infrequent that I have simply lost interest. G.I. Joe The current offerings are average $50 a figure thru a club that is ending. And the next offerings? We have nothing on deck except a vague film about Snake Eyes that even Hasbro doesn't seem to really have a set plan for. Transformers At least the best balanced of the brands TF seems to be capable of keeping kids buying, and keeping fans happy. But lets discuss the newest MP Prime figure. He's $449.99 That's one figure. By comparison...in 1984 you could buy... -all 9 minibots (variants included) for $27 -all 11 cars for $110 -both leaders for $15 and $20 -all 3 seekers for $36 -Soundwave for $12 -4 Cassettes for $16 This means even assuming my prices are wrong...the ENTIRE 1984 LINE was under $300. Even maxing it out at $330 which is a pricey estimate for ads of the time...its still less than this ONE MP figure. Don't get me wrong...I get inflation and the value that went into this figure...but my point is collecting is becoming impossible. Sure you don't need to have the gotta have'em all mentality, and you buy what you like and can afford, but when figures are so expensive that you can't keep up you know what it does? Alienates people. I've been buying toys since Star Wars ep 4. so...forty years? As of now I'm done with Star Wars. I'm considering being done with Joe, and TF...its a bit here and a bit there. The sobering conclusion...I will never be close to getting a complete set. I'm not even sure I can afford a quarter of the price for current product...and I was the guy more than willing to buy Joes at the $30 level because I loved the line so much. To sit down and legit say, "I think Hasbro has run me outta hobby" is kinda crazy. You've made things unreachable. |

You've made things unreachable. 3.75 Joe will have a True Death in 2019, perhaps your enthusiasm can extend to Marauders with custom heads? Their new offerings really open up the possibilities of blending. Lanard is really picking up the slack as well these days as well. As for TF... No comment
