That is the issue I take with it. If i took them outta the box and that original polar battle bear actually has the RIGHT decals (not the remake rockslide ones) then it could be called what ever I want. But this piece is more of an MOC piece for displaying and the box is all wrong and totally compairng apples to oranges in this case. The only relevance it has is the migration from the original Snowjob to the new one. Won;t sit well with me in thebox with the wrong names.
If they wanted to call it a Rockslide so badly why not just use the rockslide from VvV? I hated that one with that giant ass missile launcher. We once again get a great vintage vehicle that does not need to be messed around with not being relased in it's vintage form/name. Just leave it alone once again if they are not going to do them the proper historical justice...dunno why they are doing this beating around the bush and changing things up like this. |

Giving us something cool with RoC stuff, in hopes we'll buy more RoC stuff. I mean....the RoC stuff in this package is alright. Vehicle is meh. Snow Job is a bit cooler, but he's definitely not going to be worth the price they're going to ask for this.

I'm picking this up to display and open. I don't care if 25th figures won't fit in the ARAH Rockslide. I'm going to display it next to my 25th figures, not put a figure in it...

Anyone remember the Joe vs Cobra Rockslide released back in 2001-2002? It was retooled to fit the T-crotch guys who are roughly the same size as the 25th guys. If I remember right, the seat was reshaped. It came with Frostbite and he was easily one of the bulkiest of the JvsC figs... So this "new" Battle Bear just might be compatable with 25th guys if they reused the seat and etc from the J vs C Rockslide. Somebody who still owns one, pop a 25th guy in there and check it out for the rest of us.

Oh, I'm sure they will do it again. I don't think this is a one-shot thing at all.

If only they would scrap the 25th/ROC style and go back to vintage with maybe a slight upgrade or two. This new fragile stuff simply blows for anything other than collecting dust on a shelf. Helmets don't stay on, equipment is cheap quality, there are more sad repaints than ever before and the figures look silly when mixed in with a vintage collection. Oh, and it's all overpriced to boot. At least with something like the Past and Present idea, the RAH line that paved the way is not totally ignored. However, for the price, I think I will pass.
Put more focus into Resolute, keep the RAH figure/vehicle size specifications and keep the 25th articulation and increase durability and maybe there would be something good to it but I digress. |

I wouldn't mind getting the new version of the ATV with Scrap-Iron along with the old version and the twins.

I like this concept. Not a huge fan of that new snow vehicle or the new snowjob. I would have to say it is worth buying to get the vintage versions. Those look dead-on. I bet it will drop the values of the vintage down much like when they remade those StarWars 4 packs with vintage molds.
This just re-affirms that I'm smart not to buy the overpriced mini vehicles. I say next do an evolutions pack. How about vintage Leatherneck, the 90's leatherneck with the giraffe camo and the frankenjoed one that came with the tan awe striker? Great start!
