So they are supposed to make 9 new movies, or 13 new movies, or does that 9/13 also include what has been released by them already?

Even if the movie is being produced in 2018, it won't count into 2018 if it is released after October 1st, 2018. |

For the Fiscal Year 2018 (October 1st 2017 to September 30th 2018), Paramount has released 9 movies. They are hoping to release 13 movies for Fiscal Year 2019 (October 1st, 2018 to September 30th, 2019).
Even if the movie is being produced in 2018, it won't count into 2018 if it is released after October 1st, 2018.

Just more fluff and no actual plan put into action. I really don't get why is it so hard to get G.I. Joe right; it's a sci-fi military action adventure that's been mimicked by other films and properties over the past 30 years.
As for films, like please put some money upfront, get some star power and go forwarth. It's not like we expect it to win an Academy Award by any means, but it has to be fun, memorable and have a rewatch factor. No way were the folks behind the Fast and Furious franchise geniuses but now its one of Hollywood's highest grossing film franchises of all time. So with that, it can't be too difficult to make Joes a success with the right formula.

on JAGS last night, we learned from a reliable source that GIJOE 3 was supposed to be released in 2018 and that it was canceled.
This puts a whole new spin on the GIJOE3/Snake Eyes information we have gotten before. GIJOE 3 and anything associated with it, script, writer, writers room, any planned product, was axed according to the source. "Ever Vigilant" seems to be done for good. Snake Eyes is the only movie property we now know about. My question is, what will Hasbro do with the partnership with Netflix. Will Snake Eyes go straight to Netflix? Will it be a two hour kickoff to a Snake Eyes series? Many questions remain.
