Tell me what sense would it make for them to make a Snakes-Eyes movie to start the Hasbro Cinematic Universe, then follow it up with Micronauts and Dungeons & Dragons and not a G.I. Joe film? Because there's an untitled Hasbro event film after D&D, not an untitled Transformers or G.I. Joe movie and Untitled Hasbro Event Film. The 2020 G.I. Joe movie which will start the Hasbro Cinematic Universe is not Snake-Eyes, that would make no logical sense at all.

Besides, Snake-Eyes movie is said to feature the establishment of the initial Joe Team. For the time being HCU will be MASK, ROM, Visionaries, Micronauts and D&D. |

As I heard from Paramount side, G. I. Joe and Transformers movies won't be a part of the Hasbro Cinematic Universe. They want both franchises to exist independently (for Joe Franchise they want it to establish independently - to stand firmly on its own).
Besides, Snake-Eyes movie is said to feature the establishment of the initial Joe Team. For the time being HCU will be MASK, ROM, Visionaries, Micronauts and D&D. Going to be tough to ignore the history already established with the other properties if they still cross over, at least with IDW. Movies can always restart and often do. Seeing the formation of the team, if true to Marvel, I can get on board with. Depends on what they mean by "initial" team. That could be hard for the casual fan or a general audience used to the top 7 to understand. If Paramount is starting completely over it won't matter though.

Besides, Snake-Eyes movie is said to feature the establishment of the initial Joe Team. For the time being HCU will be MASK, ROM, Visionaries, Micronauts and D&D. And they announced the upcoming G.I. Joe movie's release date the same day as Micronauts, Dungeons & Dragons, and the Untitled Hasbro Event Film, which means it's most likely the start of the Hasbro Cinematic Universe. https://deadline.com/2017/12/g-i-joe...es-1202229393/ So there's no sound logical reason why the upcoming G.I. Joe would be called Snake-Eyes which if it was titled that it would be a solo Snake-Eyes movie followed by Micronauts and Dungeons & Dragons which will lead to the team up most likely in the Untitled Hasbro Event Film, it doesn't make sense for Snake-Eyes to be the only normal human in that movie. |

I one of the first movie they said was going to be in the Hasbro Cinematic Universe was G.I. Joe back in 2015. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/ne...niverse-848920

That would give a plausible explanation for why IDW is ending the long running Transformers comic that has crossed over with G.I.Joe and is still crossing over in current issues like Lost Light and Unicron.

Maybe I'm not understanding why your confused, but a lot of Hollywood shit is confusing.

It was rumored to be called Snake-Eyes before the interview and that's all I see on the this site is the page that says it's a rumor and the interview with the writer who does not confirm said rumor in the interview at all. Last edited by Darth Gonzo; 10-26-2018 at 10:57 PM.. |

Hey DG. Our man SO just pointed out that Joe is not going to be part of the HCU. They changed their plans since 2015. So it won't matter when the HCU movies come out in relation to GI Joe. SE will not be the only normal human in the SE movie. There will be other Joe's/Cobras in their pre-GI Joe form that we (most of us) hope will mirror the Hama Marvel comics back in the day.
Maybe I'm not understanding why your confused, but a lot of Hollywood shit is confusing. |
